The more I think about this whole thing, the more I believe it was a tactic employed by the Colts organization to exact revenge for the ass kickings. I mean interviewed 40 people, reviewed video evidence, brought in forensics? This is ****ing ridiculous. The Colts knew that the media would be frothing at the lips over a story like this. So they tossed some blood in the water and let the sharks (read media) circle. They may even be the "league sources".
I mean how disruptive to the Patriots game planning can you get taking away 40 employees for what 60-80 hours worth of interviews before the superbowl? This is sour grapes at its worst. And to save face I guarantee the pats will get dinged with more than a fine. They must be desperate to find something, anything. If they had, this would be over...
