Somebody inquired about this right after the SB line was set last sunday. They were wondering about the total...and how high the number was. Got this from RJ Bell at pregame.com. Figured I'd pass it on:

Las Vegas, Nevada (January 29, 2010) – Exclusively from RJ Bell of Pregame.com

Vegas projects the Colts and Saints to score a combined 57 points – the highest projection in Super Bowl history!

No playoff game in the last 20 years has had a higher projected score.

Prior to this year, the highest projection was Super Bowl XLII (Giants/Pats) at 55 points. Prior to this year, only 7 of 43 Super Bowls had a projection of 50 or more points.

RJ Bell of Pregame.com said: "In the eyes of Vegas, Colts vs. Saints is expected to be the highest scoring Super Bowl ever."

Good info. Was thinking about making the under my main play.

I'm with you....i just HATE under plays!!!!!! especially when you've got 2 teams that can score like this! love overs....cause once it's over...it aint goin under!

this could be like the Pats/colts game from 07. O/U was 54. Everyone thought over was the play. nope! 24 21....BALL control!!!! both sides! run your offense...just not as fast.
