I take it you feel they'll leave Leshoure on the board?

That sounds like an ideal 2nd round to me.

I'm not convinced BB will use all 3 of these picks. He has such a penchant for future use trades. (not that you can ever guess what the man will do...)

Who do you think wants to pay to move up to #33? I don't see BB wanting to move out of the 30's (so might require them to trade up) if picks are lower end of 2nd round.

    #75 Jersey

#33 - Trade down slightly. I hear the Cardinals and Bulger already have an arrangement, but he's on his last legs. They took two rookie QBs last year, but they got a long look at both and can't like what they see for future starting material. Let's say they trade up from their spot (#36 I think) and a fourth rounder for #33 for Andy Dalton.

    #36 - 1. Ryan Williams 2. Brandon Harris 3. Torrey Smith

#56 - If one of the three above is still available in the late 40s, it's trade-up time. Assuming all three are off the board 1. Allen Bailey 2. Clint Boling/Steve Wisneiwski 3. Mike LeShoure (if Williams wasn't taken), 4. Ed Gates (If Torrey Smith wasn't taken), 5. Rahim Moore/Aaron Williams/Jalil Brown, 6. Justin Houston

#60 - Refer to above list. If all of those are exhausted, it will depend on which position hasn't been addressed yet. So where looking at the likes of Jarvis Jenkins, Shane Vereen, Leonard Hankerson/Randall Cobb/Greg Little, or whichever DB floats BB's fancy. However, it's hard to envision at least a couple of the choices from #56 from being here, allowing us to try to get one of these guys at 74 and maybe a trade up from 92.

I think a flow chart might be necessary.

I'm going to call Ryan Williams in the #35-38 range, Brandon Harris in the early 50s, and Boling or Wisneiwski at #60. For the third round, we're in some serious long-range forecasting, but I'll go with Ed Gates and Jarvis Jenkins.

Honestly, I wouldn't think anyone would. Ever. I can't figure why the Saints gave us the trade they did. And yet people keep giving us these trades. I'm going to go with: it is BB's Jedi mind tricks.

    #12 Jersey

I have to ask myself if #56 this year and a first next year is worth having Wilkerson for all of 2011 and 2012. I guess we need to see who we take at #56 first.

Someone on sirius radio said BB has a trade lined up for #33 and it involves a 3rd and 7th this year and a first next year. No mention of which team was trading with us.

    #75 Jersey

It seems very UnBelichickian to have a draft gap from #17 to #56. So if true, he'll bank the first rounder in 2012 (really hope there's a draft) and then trade back up into the mid-2nd. I'd guess it's a team without a 2nd. How funny if it would be Carolina.

Unless a team is desperate enough for a QB to include their second round pick with the rest, that's a huge ransom.

#33 is clearly for choosing between Brady successors Dalton and Kaepernick :) ; however, if you insist on considering other prospects: RB Williams, RB Daniels, WR Cobbs, DE Jenkins, OL Ijalana, CB Dowling, DL Austin.

#56 could be bundled to move up for one of the above, or: DL McClain, DL Paea, OLB Bailey, OLB Reed.

#60 probably moves down: CB Curtis Brown, OLB Sheard, DL Ellis, ILB McCarthy, ILB Matthews, DL McPhee.

#74 is probably trade bait: OL Boling, OL Wisniewski, RB Murray, RB Hunter, CB Jalil Brown.

#92 for whichever early fourth rounder looks good.

I think we blew this draft. There was huge, huge depth of first round talent at DE and OLB and we let them pass. We didn't trade up to get Quinn or Kerrigan, we didn't get a DE when we traded down and we lost the possibility of Wilkerson, Heyward or another OT like Sherrod.

And as for Solder, he's a working project. First of all, he plays too high. Second, he has low body mass in his lower body. Third, the few games I've seen him played, he got burned at least once, always. So, he's not exactly an inmediate solution to an inmediate problem.

So, if we don't sign Mankins to a long-term contract, say goodbye to next season. And Brady can say goodbye to his high completion percentage.

I didn't forget. :) Houston has never looked like a Patriot to me -- too eager to speed around the corner above all else, and very awkward if asked to backpedal.

Yep, I'm not a fan of his running style plus I've focused on an RB with a better balance of rushing/receiving/pass protection strengths. Ivan Fears seemed to confirm this yesterday when he said they like Ryan Williams and DeMarco Murray and aren't hot for Leshoure.

Well that clears up my calendar; no need to waste my time watching the rest of the draft much less the 2011 season. Until 2012, have a good one everybody!

Well, you must've picked the wrong games to watch Solder. He gave up 5 sacks and 20 pressures in 1400 total snaps.
