Re: Still Livid

The ref's number is #132... and he MUST have been payed a king's ransom for all of the BULL SH!T calls he spewed out today.

WHAT A TOOL...

It just makes me despise the dolts organization this much more.

They received at LEAST 6 extra points that they clearly did NOT deserve.

AT LEAST...
#132 should be fired.Maybe sell womens longerae on Newbary street.

Re: Still Livid

This is beyond pathetic...you already outed yourself last Feb as a Colts troll, and perversely enough you are still pretending. What a fool.

I have always said that anyone who joins a fan site disguised as a fan of that team only to criticize that team is simply a COWARD.

No man could be that afraid to step up and speak his mind representing his own team.

Not only is this guy a coward, he's pretty damn stupid to make a comment that makes it obvious he's not one of us.

Mod's has this guy been banned yet?

Re: Still Livid

It's all about Vegas baby.

Oddly that makes sense. If I were Goodell I'd be digging into someone's financials in the AM. This was one of the smallest spreads of the season and I beileve the first time we didn't beat it handily.

Re: Still Livid

you guys mean that when a WR blatantly tackles a CB that's in front of him going for the ball that isn't a penalty against the CB?

seriously, wtf is going on with the refs.

Re: Still Livid

First, let me start out by saying like most Patriots fans I was pretty happy when NE pulled out the W.

That being said, I was VERY displeased by some of the officiating on display during this game. Really, it annoyed me to the point where I had thought about not posting on this board for the next week, if NE had lost. Why? Because any of my complaints would have been seen simply as sour grapes, which would have been far from the case.

The calls that bothered me:

Hobbs PI, Moss' PI, a none call of blantant holding by a Colts O-linemen when Colvin had broken free, and was about to sack Manning, that Colts receiver obviously being out of bounds in the first place, and I had a few spot related problems with the officiating as well.

Every time we play in Indy the ref's control the game

the ref's in indy call everything on us.it's almost like thay are payed to call against the pats.

i was starting to wonder if some of tim donaghey's relatives were officiating that game today. we had a group of people watching the game and the term "fix" came up a few times. that was ridiculous.

Re: Still Livid

Have to wonder with all of the press as painting Colts approaching godliness and the Pats descending into hell.. has an impact on their inner psyche... according to the national press no one is supposed to like the Pats, while the Colts are that feel good story that everyone loves.. if you read all this stuff long enough you begin to believe it.. could not believe the non-calls on the Pats and the excessive and stupid calls on them.

Re: Still Livid

I know what one way is...with all the betting and the way a BIT of a problem with officiating COULD bring in much money (look at the NBA scandal...and all that did happen with a ref...) I would say..you find ONE in Congress who wishes to investigate it.. JUST one..,,who wonders what is going on..is there something happening beneath the apparent "well it's bad refs"... THAT the threat of an investigation would get Goodell and company to DO something...
Believe me...cards letters, e-mails...they will NOT do it..who cares...trying to get a boycott silly will not work...get one in Washington..who wishes to look at it..saying it is corrupt..and JUST THAT would make Goodell do something.. I know there are a zillion things important..and I do not REALLY think that Goodell wishes to have Congress start probing at it...teh publicity even just the taint on it from someone saying it...THAT WILL make him change..that is teh last thing he wishes for..so the threat WOULD do it...
Hey...look at that Super Bowl a few years..THAt was atrocious..and who knows how much money changed hands?? Goodell investigating himself?? NO let someone else do it..OR threaten to do it and see how quick he makes REAL changes...All that is needed is ONE...one in Congress who says its a problem..and is serious and it would change quick...Remember the uproar on so called quiz shows in the 50s? The NFL with teh merger is tied to many exemptions...given by Congress... Just a thought...

Re: Still Livid

What scares me is the possiblity of a gambling fix. It happened in the NBA, so what's to prevent it from happening in the NFL?

On Sportsbook.com, the line never moved from 5.5 even though 90% of the money was on the Pats. The sportsbooks made out huge on this one.

That bull**** call against Hobbs was by far the most ridiculous penalty I have ever seen in my life. There was no conceivable way that could have been considered defensive pass interference.

Re: Still Livid

There were a couple of terrible calls, PI and the reception by the Colts receiver that BB challenged and won should have never been ruled a catch in the first place. I think refs have a tough job and I bet the Colts found a way to get into their heads. I think it's part of football, and why only the most experienced refs belong at the most important games. To win, you have to play well enough to overcome all the obstacles. We overcame the fluke of Addai's TD run, the bad calls, the interceptions of Brady, etc. and won. That's what championship teams do.

To be honest............ I think their could be some merit to this. If there ever was such a dishonest attempt to call a one-way game in order to keep the game close, I've never seen it.

The officiating was beyond terrible to head-scratchingly bizarre.

Yep, I clearly remember that BS "Roughing the passer" call during last years playoffs that gave the colts an auto 1st down at the goal line--that lost us the game, and MAnning wasnt even touched!
