I am so tired of hearing his stuff...He was compaining about Wes Welker spiking the ball with a 45 point lead. I find him to be somewhat pompous. I was just watching ESPN and Keyshawn was adamantely defending the Pats as was Parcells. Of course Tom Jackson was playing the Devils advocate...

Young sounded like his head was about to explode.

It's really past the point of ridiculousness by now. The media will always find something to criticize the Pats about, so as Donte' said, they don't and shouldn't care anymore. They should just go out there and play football and let the mediots battle one another over who can condemn the team most harshly. None of it matters to them.

I can't stand this Old Patriots vs New Patriots things. they're making it out just because the Pats are dominant they've lost their humility. Listen to BB and Brady.

Everybody wants to tear you down when you're on top and there is no prefect way to win. If BB too a knee on 4th down with 5 minutes left teams would be insulted by the pity.

The funniest part is how he says he WANTS to talk about how great the pats are etc... Yea I mean ya know, you can't possibly talk about how great the pats are because they score so much so you have to talk about something else? WHAT!?

BB also brought up a GREAT point on WEEI today regarding the decisions to PASS late in some games. The defense is stacking the box and rushing full force to stop the run. You risk injuy more by running it right into that. It's safer and easier to throw there.

This is the same man who threw his 6th TD pass in the Super Bowl to put his team up by 30 in the 4th quarter. Can you say hypocrite?

It was amazing to see this guy cry about how tired he was about talking about this type of stuff with the Patriots when all along if it wasn't for the candy ***** ESPN reporters making this stuff headline news he wouldn't have to talk about this!!!! All Pats fans should bombard ESPN with emails criticizing what these idiots focus on, what they try to create as "headlines". Let the Pats play the game, let them step on the throat of the opponent. That's the way every team in the league would prefer to play.

Very true and it's not like these guys should paly ay 75%. IMO that's why opposing teams are getting so injured(Carlos Roger, Renaldo Hill, Ronnie Brown, Paul Poliz)...maybe some of these are freak injuries but the Pats are beating up on other teams.

and we didnt have our 3 TE package yesterday.
Here is the thing , BB never comes out and explains all this clearly. he leaves it for the people to figure out and the media is so dumb and focused on sensational news that it blows it up and keeps asking the same question over and over and over "did they run it up " ?

Steve Young is a moron. He seems to have forgotten the 49ers won a game 55-10, or he's shut his big yap about the Pats winning 52-7.

Steve Young is a moron. (It bears repeating.)

All this whiny ***** candy ass *****ing by these ginormous douche bags is, ultimately, a sign of respect. F*ck 'em.

Can someone sum up what Keyshawn and Parcells said? Especially interested on Parcells take. Not that he would say anything against Belichick, since I think they're friends again, but curious to see how he defended it.

And Steve Young is the same guy that talked about how deeply wounded he was when the spygate stuff came out. Like he was personally hurt by it. Steve, please.

Your head must be pounding like a jackhammer. First, you have the Patriots putting up enormous numbers, just breaking the bank every week. Secondly, your 49er's are sinking ever so deeply into the bottom pile of losers. Thirdly, the Patriots OWN your lowly draft pick. Cheers!

Parcells said this is a no-win situation for a coach. He said he knows of situations where a team took a knee with a lead and the other team got upset that they are being embarrassed. He also said the coach has 40 seconds to make the decision not the 24 hours the analysts have to criticize the decision (I am paraphrasing).

parcells was diplomatic as always . said he has seen situations when you take a knee on 4th down other teams say they are embarrased. when you run it they are embarassed , and when you throw it you are embarrassed. So its a no win for the coaches and also they need to decide this in 40 secs not like 24 hrs which everyone here has had.
Keyshawn said they shouldve run up the score because thats their job.Said also you dont know if there is something from the past between BB and gibbs. Which i thought was interesting. Maybe in the 80's when BB was the D coordinator and gibbs was with the skins there was a similar situation. Would be great if someone can dig those scores up.

Young is such an idiot. THey HAVE to talk about this instead of the great football the Patriots are playing? Um, why, Steve? Because someone has a gun to your head? And guess what, talking head ***holes like you NEVER were content with talking about the great football.....it's either Spygate, or body language, or meanie head coach who dresses bad, or they aren't dominant enough and don't win by enough. Now they win by too much, apparently. THEY CAN'T PLEASE YOU AND WHY THE **** SHOULD THEY?

Oh, thanks for the reminder of the 55-10 blowout that I guess concussion-head has forgotten about. I honestly think my own head is about to explode, I'm so pissed.

The Pats must have spiked the ball on nearly all of their TD's I thought. Brady did it, Vrabel did it maybe someone else did it.

Thanks for the summaries. My favorite Parcells moment this year was when he embarrassed Steve Young on the 'gamesmanship' stuff his 49ers used to pull. The look on Young's face was priceless.

I think there is some stuff between them, I've heard that before too. But I don't think yesterday was personal. Belichick is doing this to everybody.

I just caught the end, but Parcells said something like "You don't think Bill Belichick wanted that game to end just as much as the other guys?"

A good point that was kinda lost since Key and TJ were frothing at the mouth by that point. Parcells knows Belichick as well as anyone, yet nobody seems to want to listen to him. Steve Young knows nothing about coaching and less about Belichick. Methinks he doth protest too much...

I didn't think Young said anything too terrible during the pregame. All he said was that Welker shouldn't spike the ball when they're up 44-0 and the team should be a little more conscious (his word, not mine) about the situation. He then went on to say that all of this "running up the score" talk was taking away from the real story: we're watching the best team of the past 10 years. Young kept on mentioning that the Pats are as good as a pre-salary cap team which was unbelievable in his opinion. From what I heard, him and Keyshawn had similar thoughts on the issue.

well he praised the pats and said he wanted to talk about them but they keep doing this "stupid stuff" which makes us not talk aboutthem so they should stop doing the stupid stuff. Said a championship team should act the same way when its on top as its on bottom and its not acting like one right now.

It wasn't just the words...it was the way he was apoplectic about the whole situation. Something like "they have to change this" and "stop playing for the whole spygate thing".

He is usually clear and insightful but ever since violation-of-gameday-policy-gate, he just takes everything about the Pats way too personally. Almost to the point where he doesn't make much sense anymore.

I'm glad he hasn't hopped on the other bandwagon, since he is the one who burried the Chargers with 6 TD passes in a SB.

Come on, though, one wrong comment is no big deal. You guys are sounding too thin-skinned. Steve Young is a huge Brady advocate, and he realizes how good this team is and does not deny it.

Cripes, lighten up and let somebody pick a little. You have to have some picking. It's not right to expect everybody to just fall all over this team. They will generate enemies and lovers alike.
