So with Lesnar recently winning the UFC title there has been lots of hype about him floating around. I managed to dig through all of that and find a very interesting wrestling match.

Its for the 1999 NCAA Wrestling Championship in which our own Stephen Neal took on Lesnar for the national title.

Link to video

Enjoy.

That was a good watch.
Thanks for the link.
:)

Pretty damn good.

What does the UFC have to do with the match linked in this email?

Obviously 1 of the 2 participants is currently the UFC HW champ.

Your real point however, buried somewhere in the wacky wording, is that the guy was trolling the thread. And that would be correct. The video is interesting regardless of how one views the UFC.

How many other people on this planet can say, "Brock Lesnar, I kicked his ass", Stephan Neal can.

I bet you he got some ribbing from his teammates about joining the UFC. Neal is one tough SOB. Once again what a find by BB, never played a snap in college, 2 years on the PS, and a great starting guard.

Brock Lesnar...I thought he was a porn star....or is it Rock Hard.
On a football related note...one missing ingredient vs Miami in the 1st game who will suit up this Sunday is...Stephen Neal.

Neal could probably beat him using pure wrestling skills if that video is any proof, but UFC involves more than just wrestling. So I think Lesnar wins that match if they take it to the Octagon. Me, I'd rather Neal stay as our starting guard. The offensive line looks a lot better with him in it than on IR.

Did you hear those commentators practically cheering the whole time for Lesnar????

Man, ESPN really has it out for the Patriots.

;)

Almost makes one wonder what would have happened if he hadn't gotten hurt in the Super Bowl.

Great video man..thanks for posting. I wonder if he thought he'd be playing in the NFL with two superbowl rings after that match...

I've said it before, i think Neal is a great story..no snaps of College football....starting Guard on a perennial superbowl contender / champion....

Wow, I knew Neal was dug out from the PS.. but he had no snaps in college? Im starting to see a connection here... :)

Thanks, I read about it in the Herald today and now I come in to see the vid, much appreciated.

You could tell Neal was very, very careful with Brock and he wrestled with his brains in place of his normal aggresiveness and it got him another title. Yet with that said, I found it very surprising that with Brock's brute girth and strength, that he didn't go on the attack more, I mean afterall, he was the underdog. Great stuff thanks............
