Finally we will get to see Rapelisberger in stripes
Reminds me of
Just saw this on ESPN.
I love it. Its unique for a football jersey and it looks like a bad ass prison uniform.
The block letters are nice too. Good to see Nike is trying new things. They kind of had their hands tied to tradition when unveiling new uniforms a few weeks ago, but the alternates is where Nike's design will really shine.
saw these on PFT last night. Even Steelers fans can't defend them. What a horrible decision.
Wait, it's just an "alternate" uni right?
Or are they wearing that all season?
thats not true. thats the alternate.
Heck, their old alternate unis prompted this comment from Football Outsiders:
I have to imagine that one person came up with the concept.
Another person actually designed it.
And at least one other person gave the okay.
How could multiple people be SOOOO wrong? (and yes I realize this is the perfect setup for a political joke)
Your pollen or your life. We are the KILLER BEEEESSS.
It's actually inspired by the Steelers 1934 Jersey.
"Hey, do you mind just stepping in the bathroom for a second? Get ready for the flash."
2 wrongs don't make it right.
Even worse than the uniforms with the light bulb helmets.
I doubt that,. Is it one of their throwback jerseys, perhaps????
I read two different versions on the web actually........one says its all season..... and the other says its not
I'm not sure about everyone else, but this is what immediately came to mind when I saw the strip.
I don't really mind them but then again I have a knack for liking the "ugly" jerseys. For example, I really like the Seahawks neon green alternates that were put to rest quickly.
yeah because nothing says bad ass like a prison "uniform". Derp.
Things like that were not uncommon in the twenties and thirties. I would bet that the new version is somewhat embellished a bit from the original.
Separate names with a comma.
