Steelers | Team agrees to re-sign Townsend
Fri, 17 Mar 2006 10:47:09 -0800

ESPN.com's John Clayton reports free agent CB Deshea Townsend (Steelers) has agreed to a four-year deal, $8 million contract that could be worth an additional $400,000 a year with incentives to re-sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Though the signing bonus numbers weren't available, Townsend will make $3 million in the first year of the contract.

Nice

I am happy, Tom B. made him look foolish.... He's awful!

Well as a Steelers fan I'm happy to have him back. He'll either start at corner or move to FS if McFadden is ready to start.

He did get burned in last year's AFCC game, but 99 per cent of the corners in the league are going to look bad if they're isolated in single coverage on Branch and the blitz doesn't get to the QB.

Cant wait for Brady to torch him again...
