Stats analysis: Breaking down win & streak - New England Patriots Blog - ESPN Boston
A miscellaneous collection of stats. A few interesting ones though.
In 15+ yard passes, Brady was pretty awful in the first 8 games with a 37.5% completion, 65.2 QB rating, and 3 TDs vs. 4 INTs. Over the past 5 games though, he's completed 66.7% for 6 TDs, 0 INTs, and a 149.3 QB rating. This includes 5 for 6 for 140 yards and a TD against the Bears.
He also had great success against the Bears defense when the rushed only 4 guys, completing 71% of his passes for 301 yards and a 123.2 QB rating. Prior to this game, the Bears had allowed 63% completed passes for 150 yards and a 68.8 QB rating.
The Patriots also completed a string of 14 unanswered TDs (as in the other team did not score a single TD during the streak, only FGs) going back to the second half of the Lions game all the way into the second half of the Bears game.
