To much ocean and to few warships, these people split off from the main group and were picked off. I saw the headline when it broke, my first thought was i wondered if it was a rescue attempt gone wrong. RIP

Right, which is why fear of reprisal would help. I mean, we did it when the navy was much smaller and consisted of sailing vessels.

You may be right (rescue gone wrong), as a number of the pirates are also dead.

Personally i would like to sign up for one of those "Pirate Hunting expeditions" You get to go out with a high powered rifle and hope they come after the ship your on, then you get to personally bag a few of them when they get to close. I'm not kidding either. I remember reading about them shortly after the 08 incident when the Two pirates were shot and killed by Navy Seals.

I know that after i sober up i'm going to regret this post. :eat1:

I am still in awe of those SEALs who picked off the pirates on the high seas at 30 yards away. Wow. Those dudes are bada$$!

Thirty yards is nothing, i could do that. What is amazing to me is that they parachuted into open ocean at night and rendezvoused with the Navy Ship.

The world fought Hitler and the Japs and kicked the sh!t out of them but these savage smelly skinny Pirate Pigs with their little row boats and rifles are attacking giant ships and WINNING, why won't that rotten friggin crooked UN do something, I said in another thread that "if Hitler had these skinny savages on his side during the war he would have won" It's to bad we can't bring Harry Truman & General Patton back to life they'd show them how it's done, Obama Jug Ears should shoot some of his Drones over there, it's amazing why the whole world just seems to shrug this off while the savages keep winning.
ONLY MENTALLY RETARDED PEOPLE WOULD SAIL A YACHT INTO THOSE WATERS.

Here's my idea to end this crap with low-life "pirates"....

Every once in a while (maybe once a month) equip a ship with missles and navy personnel and when the pirates come after the ship, just wipe them off the face of the earth.

Do this a few times and I doubt they'll continue.

Human Rights Groups would object, their solution would be to bring them to the USA, give them food stamps, a free drivers license and a flat screen TV.

Did you ever look at the Somali Coast line, it is 2000+ miles long.. a lot of area to patrol. This part of the world is uncivilized, would take a lot of nukes to take it out..

Suggest that maybe some of these boats stay away from these dangerous waters.. either that or travel with a private security company..

    #15 Jersey

My nephew is special ops. Of course he can't tell any stories, but those guys are bad asses. He jumps out of planes with an oxygen tank, then lands at the last possible second.

The point which any human decides to become a murdering pirate is the moment they lose all human rights....they're animals, not humans.

OT: There was a show on Discovery or one of those other cable channels showing SEALS and other special forces type troops from the various branches engaging in a bunch of different tasks, and then showing other people trying to do the same -- the others ranged from fit civilians of similar ages to non-specially trained troops.

Some of the things the trained guys could do were amazing (getting through oxygen deprivation, cold, distractions, etc.)

Sorry, Harry. The legitimacy of that story will not be accepted on this forum because it came from Fox. See if you can track down Dan Rather to corroborate.

Anywho, I thought this quote from our Secretary of State was telling:

Oh my gosh! A Christian pastor was threatening to burn a book while Muslims are busy burning down churches with people in them (as described in the story). This cannot stand! The U.S. stands in solidarity with inanimate objects everywhere.

The comparison doesn't make sense, since one took place in the US and the others did not.

The US should condemn those attacks -- and my guess would be that we have -- but it's apples and oranges when you're talking about domestic and foreign, imo

Maybe the White House is trying to appeal to the people who want to ban flag burning... ;)

Right, so the Secretary of State is primarily concerned with domestic matters? Why did she comment on the planned Koran burning at all?

Or pandering to those who are enamored of the multi-culti fad.
