Obama Camp Predicts Health Bill Will Pass Soon - WSJ.com

While everybody is sleeping, democrats quietly pass Obamacare. Why do they need to do it at 1 AM in the morning? Do they not want to sleep? Sneaky Democrats !

If they pass Obamacare at 1 AM tomorrow , we are going to be taxed at 12 pm on the same day. They don't waste any time, do they? They want our money that bad.

    Never had a doubt
    In the beginning
    Never a doubt
    Trusted too true
    In the beginning
    I loved you right through
Arm in arm we laughed like kids
At all the silly things we did

    You made me promises, promises
    Knowing I'd believe
    Promises, promises
    You knew you'd never keep

    Second time around
    I'm still believing
    Words that you said
You said you'd always be here
    In love forever
    Still repeats in my head
You can't finish what you start
If this is love it breaks my heart

    You made me promises, promises
    You knew you'd never keep
    Promises, promises
    Why do I believe

    [Instrumental Interlude]

If this is love it breaks my heart

    You made me promises, promises
    You knew you'd never keep
    Promises, promises
    Why do I believe
    All of your promises
    You knew you'd never keep
    Promises, promises
    Why do I believe

The old axiom I learned in college was........ NOTHING GOOD EVER HAPPENS AFTER MIDNIGHT.

Damn, who would have thunk that that would be so true after I grew up too.

The good thing is Democrats all over America will have to pay the price right along with the rest of us, it also is the end of Barack Hussein Obama's dream of two terms, sooner or later the people will know what these scumsucking vermin are trying to hide thats in that bill and when they do that will be the end of Prince Obama, Reid, Pelosi and many more in that gang of grinning smelly f-cking rat bastards.

We all will lose with higher taxes, higher premiums and no real healthcare reform. But enjoy that bag that's been pulled over your head.

The fact that the tax increases start immediately and most of the benefits start in about three years tells you all you need to know.

"Hey, CBO, how do the numbers look over 10 years if we only pay out for 7 of them ? What about the next 10 years when we need to pay for all 10 ? Don't worry about it, no-one's asking about that".

Better to have a President with balls than to have a President that really uses them ... it's the liberal way.

That's not even factoring in the amounts that are going to be dumped onto the states when their budgets take the hit...more taxes and fees on top of the federal taxes and fees

Actually, what I read was the reason it will be voted on at such odd hours is that the Republicans are using every delaying tactic possible, including forcing a full reading of the whole bill. Given the delaying tactics, the earliest the bill can be voted on is when it will be voted on. Besides, I am quite certain the Democrats are going to be very public about this. Most Americans are going to like the health care plan; that's why the Republicans are so afraid.

Why will most of us like it ? It will increase taxes. It will increase the deficit (when prorated over the full 10 years). It will increase insurance premiums. It will decimate Medicare if they actually go ahead with the cuts; although I don't think they will and that will add more to the deficit. A small minority will like it. Most ? No way.

yeah, god forbid anyone read the bill!!!!! Worked real well for the stimulus bill huh?

Obama, Presidential Campaign 2008: "I will go over it line by line to make sure there is no wasteful spending, and no earmarks."

Obama, after Stimulus is passed with no one reading it: "Sometimes you needs earmarks in government".

I don't make over $250K. But we'll all be paying higher taxes. Look at all the taxes they're adding to medical type companies and think about who will end up paying. Also insurance premiums will be going up as insurance companies will now have to cover bad risk (pre-existing conditions) patients.

    This.

Oh by the way, there was a 1 a.m. vote this morning. The vote went 60-40. That's 100 attending Senators.

Evidently, the Republicans were able to rally to the occasion, despite the "sneaky" tactic of actually trying to get something done.

As to how "we'll all lose," I wonder how the 30 million who were previously uninsured feel about that proposition. :D

Sorry to all the brainwashed tools of Big Insurance... but don't worry too much, they ended up getting what they wanted. The public option is out, and insurance shares got a nice little market bump. Guess everybody on all sides still get their insurance industry dollars next cycle. Nice work, OGP.

Unless of course your friends in the insurance biz end up facing competition after the house and senate bills are combined in conference.

    :scream:

Now we're gonna have a Republican dilemma - do their best to torpedo the economy to win in '10... or actually get out of the way of what recovery is pertaining, and take their chances...

Gee I wonder which they'll work for
