Reid: Let's write this up condemning rush.
Clinton: Yes... our plan is flawless
    Obama: Yes. I agree.

I'm pretty sure in order to have a straw man argument, you need the "argument" part. I am making none, except to say that auctioning the letter was a smart political move by Rush, while condemning him was a dumb move by Democrats.

Oh, I get it, you want me to defend the 3 you just listed, you must be mistaken as to my position, sorry:eek:

So Rush has promised to match whatever the final amount ends up being huh?

Ted Turner must be using this as a way to break him. Rush may be wealthy, but Turner once gave away one Billion. He could swallow Rush's entire net worth without so much as a burp.

I hope Ted's kind enough to leave Rush with enough money so he doesn't end up on Welfare again.

I think it's great. That's $2.1 million so far that we can be sure of won't go to Republicans, and this event is drawing attention to Rush's controversial remarks.

This whole thing elicits a warm and fuzzy feeling from the bottom of my heart, nothing like deifying a lying, drug addict who cannot stay married and whose ego is bigger than anyone I have ever seen.. hope that Turner drives it up to 50,000,000... then he will have to put his money where his mouth is. But then again sure someone else will pay it for him.. that is the way this world works.

Rush has promised to match as noted, he has also challenged the dems who wrote the letter to match, I would guess that their collective net worth is > Rush's, wonder if they will be as generous as the evil conservative. Will Dirty Harry and the other 40 or so dems step up to the plate to help the children when it involves their money rather than mine?

Obviously, they won't match. There are other equally deserving causes, ones that have no association with the radical right. May I ask, How much you give to the The Marine Corps - Law Enforcement Foundation? Better to give to them than the Republican Party.

Wow... looks like someone's really pissed that a lot of money is going to be given to a worthwhile charity. Why is that...?

Of course they won't. They hate the military, so they certainly hate the children of the military.

They're nothing but lowlife scumbags, and a case could be made for treason against many of them. They hate Bush and America more than they hate al Qaeda and bin Laden.

I'll bet that if Rush would give the money to the UN, You can bet the dems would be more than happy to match funds...hell John Kerry would probably sell one of his million dollar mansions!

Not pissed at all about the money, pissed because Rush is a drug addict, who cannot stay married and is deified by the right.. anyone who is a dittohead is a looser, cannot for the life of me understand how someone could be tagged that and like it.
