It may take them awhile, but give Republican senators like Conrad Burns of Montana credit for acknowledging what Hillary and others have been saying about Bush for years.

    http://www.kpax.com/Global/story.asp?S=4564140

A Republican senator says President Bush is stubborn and has a skull of -- quote -- "solid granite."

Those are the words of Montana Senator Conrad Burns, in criticizing Bush's continued support for placing some U-S port operations under a company based in Dubai.

Burns made the remark at the Hill County Republican Party's annual Lincoln Day Dinner in Havre. His spokesman -- Matt Mackowiak -- says the reference to granite was not meant as an insult. Mackowiak says Burns uses the same phrase in talking about his son, and that it's -- quote -- "a little joke he likes to use."

Mackowiak says Burns believes the White House should have been more forthcoming, about the deal to allow a state-owned company in Dubai to control operations at six major U-S ports. But the spokesman says Burns gets along very well with his fellow Republican, and thinks Bush has done an excellent job on national security.

I think a lot more Republicans would admit Bush was wrong if they also didn't have to admit Hillary was right. Can't they both be wrong?

Burns reminds me of the late great Don Knotts playing Barney Fife. He 'ain't no eloquent fella. Kinda like GW himself.

As much as I dislike GWB, Hillary is about 4th or 5th on my list right after Cheney, Kerry, Lieberman, with the absence of a forminable candidate in the Democratic Party they can both be wrong.

The worst possible thing that could have happened to Bush "DID HAPPEN", wimpering Jimmy Carter agreed with him.

The last thing any American President would want is to have Jimmy Carter agree with them.

Now you all know BUSH IS WRONG on the Arab/Port thing it is dangerous to the country, this is proven by the fact that the weasle Carter supports it.

I don't see how you can even compare Jimmy Carter to Dubai Bush.

There is no way Carter would compromise the security and safety of America by handing over our sea ports to a foreign country, let alone an Arab country.

Jesus Christ, have you been reading the papers, Carter/Bill Clinton BOTH support it, "THEY HAVE JUMPED IN BED WITH THE HATED BUSH"

Bush is all wrong on Illegal Aliens and the Arab/Port deal. The next Screaming Islamic Fanatic with a Nuke in his backpack will come right through the BUSH/CARTER/CLINTON/ARAB PORT.

YOU CAN BET THE FARM ON IT.
