Just a heads up that the crew from the NFL Radio / Movin the Chains is about to break down the Pats draft around noon Eastern time. They are a good group of non-biased guys who know there stuff on a national level.

Please let us non Sirius people know what was said.

so far they are very high on the marroney pick but arent all too high on Jackson. Say he has a lot to learn, but he is going to the ultimate professer, so if he is to succeed anywhere it would be in NE. Overall a very good draft, including mid round picks, adding depth with both TE's especially with Grahm being a FA after this year.
They are high on Thomas stressing his championship game and the ability to get open and make any catch.

saying again, that they took two TE's in order to "leverage" their FA options with Grahm. and had good pick ups from Notre Dame with inside info from Charlie

Notre Dame guys are the next pipeline to the Pats (I think we all saw this coming) replacing LSU and Saben pipeline.

to sum it up:
Maroney: Great pick, who can take a 10 yard dillon run and turn it into a 30 yard Maroney run.

Jackson: only reason he was rated as first round prospect was because of weak WR draft class. Normally would have been a 2nd round WR, questioned if they reached for him and questioned his not too high 10ypc through college. (IMO I like this pick and it has been seen that BB has scouted him throughly and must have really liked him)

Thomas: very productive TE who will get open and give them another option and rarely drops balls. "Made" Vince Young look good on many occasions.

Mills: Cross between a TE and FB. Dont panic with taking two "TE's" in a row, very versatile and again by taking these two guys, now have leverage with ?s as to what will happen with Grahm after this year.

Gostkowski: I didnt catch them say anything about this pick

O'Callaghan: Great value and if healthy will provide quailty depth and could step in and play. Fits into the Pats mold of O-line; tough, smart etc

Mincey: Good upside for a late round pick.

Also commented on quickly jumping on a bunch of UDFA's which have been commented about on this board.

they (Kirwin and one other guy) now have Gostkowski on for an interview.

Basically said the same stuff as he did in his paper interviews. Also said that when he was in for a workout he went out to lunch with Brad Seely.
After the interview was over, Kirwen was saying how much he resepected Seely and that he is a fantastic evaluater of kickers with both technique and head toughness.
