Nice short story on Rodney
Greatest picture ever.
Then one year later. Look at how much happier he is!!!
Whenever the Pats bring in free agents that picture should be hung in the same room.
I know that he played many years for the Chargers.
But I think that a few years from now, when he retires, he will retire a Patriot. :rocker:
I have so much respect and admiration for Rodney Harrison. The next jersey I buy will surely carry the #37.
I hope you guys have seen in your own words series on rodney. It was awesome .His interview after the first win is funny as he in tears says no one believed we could win a superbowl and corrects the next time around saysing no one believed i could win a superbowl as it was his first not the pats.
He talks about BB and it certainly shows the respect he has for him and also ofcourse how he broke his hand and sneaked out of the locker room to see the win.
It was a great 30 minute show.
My favorite part of that was the "dirtiest player" poll. 23% of players polled picked ROdney. . .and Brady was the only QB to get a vote.
AMEN. The single best statement ever typed on this board.....save, the cheerleader thread.
He should have been the MVP of that game. He deserved it more than anyone.
(Plus, the pundits would have made less out of the Branch trade if he had never won that MVP)
History happens, but I think he's a could candidate to get a second (or third) chance at that MVP.
Even Tom Brady said he should have been the MVP of that Superbowl, and this was before all the Branch drama.
Actually, I change my mind- he should have been MVP for the entire playoffs (if such a thing existed). He had picks in all games and held together the "weak" secondary seemingly single-handedly.
My two MVP's for those playoffs would be Rodney and Brusci, with Brady a close third.
god I love everything about Rodney Harrison, if I ever met this guy I would tell him how much the way he plays and acts really means to me and thousand others out there who really look up to this guy and respect everything he is about
I think that may be the one thing that everyone on this board can agree with.
thanks man, I really hope one day I get to shake his hand and tell him all of that
Me too. I love the dude. When I was on my tour of Gillette in April he was lifting weights about 25 feet away from me. It was cool to see him so close.
those were your pics?
thats awsome man
Thanks. Top-10 day of my life.
I knew when RH was signed as a FA a few years back that he was a pretty good football player. But at the time, I had Milloy up on a pedestal and having not seen many SD games, I don't think I realized the type of impact player he was.
After a couple of preseason games, I really did not like the signing. I saw all of the trash talk going on by RH and all I could think was Bush League.
It did not take me long to realize how wrong I was.
The guy not only makes plays but having watched every interview he's done since coming here (most probably twice), I just have a deep down respect for the guy. This crap about him being a dirty player is just that.....crap. He's hard nosed and most NFL players would trade their left arms to play with this guy.
The story about Harrison going to referee school was one of the funniest, that was before he was injured. Harrison said he wanted to be a referee when he retired. As I remember he said he almost threw the flag because a kid didn't hit hard enough.
Now if we can just get a picture like that with Junior in it......
Big Rodney! We never forget his plays!
I posted this on the other Rodney thread.
I was watching SportsCenter last night and the had a segement on Rodney being "named" the Dirty Player. It was hilarious!
Maybe someone can YouTube this and share it with the board.
