Anybody remember how this story was being played by the AP just a few days ago. Breathless anticipation of when the DNA test results would be back to show that 'AN INNOCENT MAN WAS EXECUTED' and it was going to be the 'FIRST time it could be shown an innocent man was wrongly executed' and would turn the corner for death penalty opponents in public opinion.

Instead we just get another old truism revalidated; 'There are no guilty men on death row; after all just go ask them.'

What's your point? That DNA testing is unnecessary?

I've lost count of how many men have been found innocent from DNA who had served many years in prison. Do you think we have never executed an innocent person?
