You all keep saying the early season games don't matter. Was it not the Broncos vs the Pats?

Of course it matters. You act like you guys were playing with 9 guys on defense for christ sakes!!!

You can put the Cardiac Kid in there all you want, Mike Anderson will run right over him regardless. Seymour is a stud, no doubt, but we've handled him before and will again.

We are better in all 3 facets of the game folks. :)

And coaching too!!!

I wonder if the loss of your coordinators will effect the team as much as our 2 weeks off, and home field advantage, and better team etc... lol!!

On the D Line
*No Seymour
*Wilfork was doing **** the first half of the season, his play over the second half of the season has been quite admirable
*Of course, without Seymour and his resulting double team, our other guys didnt get a chance to shine. Now they will.

LB's
*We had two MLB who had no idea what the hell they were doing with a patriots uniform. Beisel repeatedly blocked the wrong whole, and Chad Brown performed terribly as well. Most people underestimate what Bruschi does to our run D. His great run d skills aside, he is the play caller out there. He calls what they are doing in their Running game. Chad Brown and Monty Beisel were practically street players with a pats uniform on.

DB's
*Duane Starks either a.) sucked or b.) he was really hurt. The two of the huge passing plays the pats gave up was to Duane Starks.
*James Sanders, a rookie S was stuck in there. We now have a veteran in Artrell Hawkins. With this new addition, we can do more things in the pass coverage than we could in back when we played in October.
*Ellis Hobbs = An excellent #2 CB.

Some final points; Our defense all-together wasnt during the beginning of the season. Even without injuries, we didnt perform well in Carolina. When we played denver we were at our worst. We simply had to many guys that were knew to the patriots defensive system. Now, the weakest links like starks, beisel and brown have been pulled and replaced with veterans, minus hobbs. Similarly, we have had time to gel together more with all the defensive changes.

You joke that it still was the pats d vs. denvers offense. Well, it really wasnt. It was quite different.

"OF COURSE IT MATTERS!!!!"...Broncos first game rushing stats...47 yards by Bell,6 by Anderson....that's really bad

OF COURSE IT MATTERS!!!!

Please. Maybe it was because of the competition level.

Tom Nalen...HALL OF FAMER.

Will Shields...HALL OF FAMER

What has changed was the LEVEL OF COMPETITION, as well as your personnel. Your secondary is terrible. I mean just awful. Our Oline has been resting for 2 weeks waiting for this game. Those boys are no joke. Gashing holes open for Tatum to sprint thru.

And Mike has had 2 weeks to gameplan for this... Have mercy on the beers in your fridge. Get drunk fast and ease the pain.

Congrats on the AFC lEast title though... pfffffffff

Patriots Pass D Rank- 31

Denver Pass D Rank -29

Better Quarterback-Brady

Part of the reason our rank is so low is because we've had so many starters and so little time to pull it all together. Well, now that we've secured every single defensive position, our DB's have had a few games to gel a bit more. Not a huge deal, but something to think about..

Apologies

I am a devout Broncos fan who must appologize for the guy who claims to also be a Bronco fan and started this crazy post. I for one have great admiration for Belichick and I would also like to point out that I believe Shanahan has patterned this Broncos team after the Patriots. And why not? Who's the only team that can handle the Colts on a regular basis? They are alarming similar which makes this a very interesting match up. These teams are built around character instead of star power. Plummer has had his best season so far and he was very Brady like in his efficiency. Denvers defense is built on quickness and confussion, also very Patriot like. Look at their runners. Any stars there? How about receivers? Like the Patriots, no real stars there of the likes of Chad "the mouth" Johnson or Marvin Harrison. So, how does Brady throw for over 4,000 yards this season with out those star wide outs? Character, Discipline, focus, and unselfish team spirit. All those things were also evident in Denver this year. Why do you think Shanahan got rid of Portis? Heres why. Because Portis claimed to be world champ and then didn't back it up in the playoffs. that did not fly with Shanahan and I know Belichick wouldn't put up with that either. Am I right? Anyway, if the Patriots win this weekend, I will be pushing for the Pats because they are the closest thing to my team. Also, to my fellow Bronco fans. Can we please cut out the trash talk? We are in for a real battle on Saturday, no doubt about it and we would be foolish to think otherwise.

Admirable post. Good luck on Saturday rockhopper. May the best team win.

Wow, I misspelled dudes name, big deal, does it change the fact that we are going to CRUSH your old man squad on Saturday night. I hate to see a fellow buff and hs pal lose, I always root for my boy Dan Graham, but that night, he is gonna be put on his rear if he tries to make catches vs our secondary.

All 3 facets of the game, we are better.

Broncos by 10.

And yes, I'll get back in here to gloat for weeks on end afterwards...

<img src="www.http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a198/24champbailey/28919415221.gif">

All 3 facets of the game, the Broncos are better? OH REALLY?

Offense: Denver 24.7PPG to New Englands 23.7PPG
Rushing Offense: Denver- 158 YPG New England- 94.5 YPG
Passing Offense: Denver - 201.7 New England- 257.5 YPG

Defense: Denver- 16.1 PPG New England - 21.1 PPG
Rushing Defense: Denver - 85.2 YPG New England - 98.8 YPG
Passing Defense: Denver - 227.4 YPG New England - 231.4 YPG

Special Teams:
Kicking: DENVER: 24/32 FG, 25.3 YPR allowed NEW ENGLAND: 20/25 FG, 21.9 YPR allowed
Punting: DENVER: 43.8 AVG NEW ENGLAND: 45.1 AVG
Kick Returns: DENVER: 20.7 YPR NEW ENGLAND: 22.2 YPR
Punt Returns: DENVER: 8.5YPR NEW ENGLAND: 7.9YPR

So, BUB. Looks like you were talking out your rear end because its clear that the Patriots are better on special teams (pats take 3 of 4 categories).

Also, its basically a split on the offense. 1 PPG is diddly. And, really, special teams could be looked at as being pretty even since everything is so close.

The only difference is the defense and the Patriots defense suffered far more early on because of the injuries and the tough schedule they faced.

I wouldn't go counting the Patriots out. You can if you want to, but that would make you a moron.

Me no spell checky, but me have degree from university.

Anyway, Brady didn't do much till late in game last time, and he has never been so lucky to go off vs the Broncos.

Tell me, how are the Patsies ancient defense gonna stop our offense, like they did last time... lmao.

Are they gonna dig up Andre Tippett??

Lmao, plus your secondary is garbage!!!

I can't wait, its gonna be a rout!!!!!

I love morons who try to point to the age of the Patriots defense. Hmm. Yep, they are SO OLD. I mean, Vince Wilfork at 24 is just ANCIENT. Same with Richard Seymour being 26. Same with Asante Samuel and Eugene Wilson at 25 . Lets not forget Ty Warren. He's just another ANCIENT player at 24. Or how about Ellis Hobbs who is 22. Heck. Rosie Colvin and Artrell Hawkins, at 29, must be OLD GEEZERS. So the Patriots have 3 players (Bruschi, Vrabel, McGinest) who are over 30 who are starters. So F'n what. Their avg age is a little over 27.

The Pats secondary is garbage? really? What does that make the Denver defense who was just as bad as the Pats defense... Except that the Denver secondary was bad all year, the Pats secondary wasn't...

Tatum Bell against the Phins

47 yards

"Dominant!!!" cries Chicken Little Freak

let's see...it's 1:00 am here so it's 11 there...and he's been gone for a few hours...yeah...Mommy came in the bedroom and shut off Bronky's puter

I remember the Colts fans saying this about our secondary last year -- before we held them to 3 points on the day.

Richard Seymour has never played the Broncos, has he? I believe he was hurt the last two times and was not starting when they played in 2001 as a rookie.

So I don't think you've handled him before. Oops.

Yes, a degree from Brokeback Mountain University. Took him 7 years to get it. But hey it takes a lot of people 7 years to get a degree.....Oh thats right. WE CALL THEM DOCTORS.

It's not your spelling and I'll take your word about your degree. However, you have to be one of the dumbest bastards to ever post on this board.

I think you were a mile high before you got to mile high.

I can only pray the Broncos feel the same way as you do. PLEASE review only the tapes from our matchup this season. I can't wait to see Rod Smith get knocked the **** out again.
