From Pete Prisco's blog:

Count New England defensive end Richard Seymour as one Patriot who is thrilled the team signed Ravens linebacker Adalius Thomas on Saturday.

"It's a great thing," said Seymour from Lake Buena Vista, Fla., where he was taking part in ESPN the Weekend. "Any time I have a linebacker who can really rush, it makes my job easier. It makes their job easier. I'm not sure where he's going to play since he's such a talented guy, but I'm excited about it."

Thomas, 29, signed a six-year deal with the team and early reports are that it has guaranteed money in the $16 million range.

"We are always trying and bring in guys who are good football players first and fit in with what we're trying to do," Seymour said.

Patriots coach Bill Belichick is as creative on defense as any coach in history and Thomas can play a variety of positions, which could make it tough to game-plan for him.

"It looks like a perfect match," Seymour said.

Just nice to hear the players comment on what the team is doing.

So Prisco says it's a six year deal, but Schefter says five years.

When will this be settled?

I hope it is the five year deal because the 6 year one is worth 60 million dollars............

I would trust Schefter to have the correct info.

Good to hear Big Sey pumped up about this...
