Re: Seymour activated

Woo hoo - yeah bay-bee....now that's what I'm talking about...:)

Really - that is great news....one game to help knock the rust off, then time to say "howdy" to the Colts!

Re: Seymour activated

i expect him to play limited snaps this week.

I was thinking the same thing. Just enough to knock the rust off. Pretty much what we did with Maroney last week.

Re: Seymour activated

Any news on who is being moved to make space for his activation - or are we assuming that's definitely what Santonio got demoted for? IOW, is there a chance there's one more domino to fall so Eddie Jackson can suit up tomorrow?

Re: Seymour activated

Great news, people are going to remember in a hurry why Seymour is one of the best players in the league, just watch.

Jackson would have to be activated before he could suit up, and that deadline has passed.

Re: Seymour activated

Great News!

... but can you imagine the Redskins getting this news.:D
I bet they were hoping one of the other guys would be activated.
They had no film from this year to study.
I wonder how much time they spent preparing for him.?

Re: Seymour activated

with seymour back, opposing teams will feel the real patriots defense...

Re: Seymour activated

I hope A.T. is close to 100%

with Big Sey taking on his customary 2 blockers at the LOS, this means that Vrabel,A.T., Colvin and Wilfork can pin their ears back and wreak havoc on opposing QB's.

Re: Seymour activated

Yeah, the timing is tremendous. Green is a terrific back-up, but he IS a back-up, and as the season has gone on, I think the D has felt Seymour's absence.

Honestly, think about how this is lining up: if things go well against DC, the Colts will face a complete, healthy, Pats D, that has maybe played with some softness/vanilla qualities due to the ridiculous leads the offense has handed them. I CANNOT WAIT for the Colts game. (Well, I can, I guess. I have to.)

Re: Seymour activated

I figure Seymour will get 10-15 plays this week then play about half the game next weejk. Maybe a touch conservative but it's about what I expect. Good news for sure.

Bingo....In all three wins the Colts have had going back to 2005. They have never faced a healthy New England team. Rodney Harrison has played exactly one quarter of football (2006 regular season....hurt first quarter)

2005 defensive game starters

LE. 94 T.Warren
NT 75 V.Wilfork
RE 97 J.Green
OLB 59 R.Colvin
ILB 50 M.Vrabel
ILB 54 T.Bruschi
OLB 55 W.McGinest
LCB 22 A.Samuel
RCB 23 D.Starks
FS 26 E.Wilson
SS 21 R.Gay (played safety)

OUT

K.Faulk
J.Sanders
R. Seymour
M. Light
R. Harrison

In the AFCC game

Harrison out
Wilson out
Seymour played at 50%
Colvin missed almost the entire second half
Baker and Mickens played in dime packages
Maroney played but was in major pain....and you could see by the way he ran
Eric Alexandra played most of the second half

Come to think of it the Colts while a great team always plays teams without there best players every week.

You missed a starter and a key role player:

Junior Seau out
Randall Gay out

That is correct:

Houston - Andre Johnson, Ahman Green, Ron Dayne out
Tampa Bay - Cadillac Williams, Michael Pittman, Luke Petitgout out
Denver - Javon Walker out
Jacksonville - David Garrard (second half out)
Carolina - Jake Delhomme out

Re: Seymour activated

This also frees up Green to rush the Peyton.

Re: Seymour activated

i wont be surprised if they plan to play a little more 4-3 tommorow to stop the skins running game

Re: Seymour activated

Great News. I have felt that the D needed this to pick them up a little.
Welcome Back RS

Re: Seymour activated
