The League office spokesman, Greg Aiello, says that no determination has been made re: the allegations, contradicting the ESPN report.

The only evidence involved is video tape FROM ONE GAME.

Everything else is supposition, innuendo, guesswork and outright slander.

There is no evidence this ever happened before.

Those spreading the rumors are direct competitors of the Patriots.

Where did he say this?

So the Lions and Packers are lying?

He only actually SAID the thing mentioned in your FIRST paragraph, right? You're just interpreting after that?

There is alot of suspicion floating around. I suspect Jeff Fischer of taking it up the @$$. I suspect Bill Polian of having orgies with animals. I suspects Jack Del Rio of having a 2 inch co(k. But since there's no EVIDENCE to that effect, I cannot claim to know for a fact that those things are true. Similarly, some people suspect the Patriots of stealing signs in the past. But without EVIDENCE of that, it never happened, but merely resides in the murky world of supposition.

If the league goes through their files and finds complaints from these and other teams, they wont need tapes.
Complaints aren't evidence. Sorry.

Is Matt Millen still on the competition committee? If he is, then I suspect people know where I'm going with this.

Do you have a link where I could find Aiello's statement?

I44,
I consider this all part of the Moss Effect. The Moss Effect occurs when 31 GMs in the league realize they could have traded a sloppy division II 4th rd center for a top 5 Greatest Receiver of All Time, and didn't because they were too stupid. The Moss Effect gives these GMs, especially the ones without creditable receivers (Del Rio, Fischer, Ted Thompson-aren't they all on the competition committee?-) to coniption fits, weeping bouts of uncontrolled anger, and rants on "fairness" to the press. It is a sight to behold, and the Moss Effect is currently in full force. Enjoy it while it lasts, because it doesn't get any better as a fan of football. If all the direst predictions come true, and BB is somehow suspended for this tempest in a teapot, I have great faith and confidence that Pee Wee Herman could coach the Pats to a title with the current roster. No Worries.:)
