I disagree with this assessment. I thought that it was telling that the North didn't go to Blount when they were on the 1 yard line.
Tyson Alualu has a nice burst. If he were taller, he'd be tempting to try as an end. As a 4-3 DE, I agree... But not a 3-4 DE...
Misi looks like an ILB prospect to me.
I know he got urinated on this week but I'd take a late flyer on Sam Young. He was the one on the North who gave up on the fumble even though he was lying on top of the ball.. No thanks..
Mike Johnson looked absolutely awful today.
Jimmy Graham does nothing for me. His blocking is beyond weak.
I wouldn't use a pick on McCluster above the sixth or seventh round.
Gilyard will rise but I wouldn't expect much of him as a pro. That's what people said about DeSean Jackson. And he's turned into a very good WR. Gilyard has similar route running abilities.. He wasn't used properly in the game...
Just got done watching the tape..
First off, boy was a wrong about tossing Graham in with Woods and Crable, he looks more like Freeney than Woods. He dominated that game (much like Cushing did last year, when I said to draft him).
I was spot on for my assesment of Jean Shorts Jesus, he is not a NFL (or CFL) QB. I would be shocked if he gets drafted before the 6th rd.
I thought that Ipuati looked awful, I think he really, really hurt himself. The kid Tennant from BC looked pretty good.
LeGarret Blount pushed himself up to at the very least the 3rd round. He is definately worth a look.
I thought that Witherspoon looked great at ILB, especially if you consider he played OLB all year. He made himself some money today.
I was wholy unimpressed with the Zoltan.
I thought that Marty Gilyard also helped himself today, plus he is an excellent returner.
Arenas showed his return skilles, but he also showed that he isn't a NFL CB,
Again, I was uninspired by the play of Taylor Mays.
Another one of my late round targets, Geno Atkins, made a few plays today.
On a whole, Graham was the big winner today, followed closely by Witherspoon, Lefevour (the Central Michigan QB), Gilyard, Misi.
On the other hand the "biggest loser" be far is Tebow, everything that I said would happen happned, he was uncomfortable at best under center, could not make any reads, had the ball swatted out of his hands, and was caught and brought down just after he broke the line of scrimmage.
The guard from Idaho, Impuati, whatever his name is, also dropped himself out of the first round today.
I thought that neither punter was any good.
Mt. Cody has eaten himself out of the first round.
The Pats scouting dept must be drooling over several guys on the North's defensive front seven. B. Graham, J. Odrick, A. Carrington, Koa Misi, Austen Lane, etc but another guy that stood out to me was Iowa OLB A.J. Edds.
TE Colin Peek from Alabama looked decent to me too.
1. Brandon Graham. "Brandon Graham was what I thought he would be", to paraphrase Jim Mora. A dominant pass rusher with a non-stop motor. Great player. But I still don't know if he's fluid enough to play in space, and his lack of height and reach are a potential issue.
2. Alex Carrington. I want him. Much more than Jared Odrick. He's a beast, and with 15 more lbs. will be a dominant RDE for us. I'm not sure he can play strongside 3-4 OLB.
3. Austen Lane. I want him, too. I think he'll be a pro bowl caliber weakside 3-4 OLB in 2-3 years, and a starter by 2011. He needs a lot of schooling, but the material is there, and the drive.
4. Koa Misi. Kudos to Box. He singled out Misi over a year ago, when no one knew who the heck we was talking about. I agree, Misi's upside is limited, but he is a solid, solid player.
5. AJ Edds. Just makes plays. He's not an athlete, but he'll contribute.
6. Sean Weatherspoon. Was all over the field today. I don't know how he'll time at the combine, but he was everything you could want today.
7. Dan Williams. Best defensive player on the South team, IMHO, and a certain 1st round pick.
8. Terrance Cody. Couldn't shed blocks. Not a 1st round pick right now. Needs to get into shape.
9. Javier Arenas. A great STer, but a nickel corner at best. A slightly better Ellis Hobbs.
Who is "The Zoltan" that you are referring to?
The Michigan punter, Zoltan Mesko...
It's always interesting to see other people's opinions...
Graham got the MVP but he was more sizzle than steak. One trick pony in this game and that trick will be harder to pull off in the NFL. Only saw him with his hand on the ground and the Pats likely won't play him there. That being said, his one trick is good enough that I would look at him in the 2nd round. Just not at #22.

Rotator cuff day one or two, hopefully it wasn't serious enough to limit him at the Combine.Any reason my Asamoah didn't play??? Strange for him not to unless he was injured..

89 Graham, Garrett TE - He helped his QB.
40 Misi, Koa LB - Remains my #1 OLB prospect, mid-second for me, probably third-fourth round for NE.
91 Odrick, Jared DL - Strengthened his late first/early second grade, remains a viable option for NE as a 5-tech.
90 Schofield, O'Brien DL - DNP, injured.
95 Thomas, Cam DL - I like him as another NT option depending on the Wilfork situation, not so much a 5-tech.
