SEC staffers watched porn as economy crashed - CNN.com

A regional office staff accountant tried to access pornographic Web sites nearly 1,800 times, using her SEC laptop during a two-week period. She also had about 600 pornographic images saved on the hard drive of her laptop.

"In fact, this attorney downloaded so much pornography to his government computer that he exhausted the available space on the computer hard drive and downloaded pornography to CDs or DVDs that he accumulated in boxes in his office," the inspector general's report said.

Maybe these two should hook up. :singing:

I'm surprised you haven't discussed this with all those female friends you keep telling us about, PR.

It's not "pretty unusual," it's not even a little unusual.

Not that the truth matters. Or that you'll even read this, of course.

In the first three months of 2007, according to Nielsen/NetRatings, approximately one in three visitors to adult entertainment Web sites was female; during the same period, nearly 13 million American women were checking out porn online at least once each month.

Theresa Flynt, vice president of marketing for Hustler video, says that women account for 56 percent of business at her company's video stores. "And the female audience is increasing," she adds. "Women are buying more porn." (They're creating more of it, too: Female director Candida Royalle's hard-core erotic videos, made expressly for women viewers, sell at the rate of approximately 10,000 copies a month.)

And...a sure way to lose your job! In my younger days, I'd love a woman like this. Now a days, I prefer someone who's just active and fun with a nice sense of humor.

Now I'm just waiting for a particular comment from a specific person....:nono:

Archie Comics announced Thursday that in an issue out Sept. 1, the long-running comic will introduce its first "openly gay" character, Kevin Keller.

The strapping blond will defeat Jughead in a burger eating contest, win the affection of Veronica and wrestle over how to gently rebuff her flirtations.

Jon Goldwater, co-CEO of Archie Comics, says the introduction of Kevin is "about keeping the world of Archie Comics current and inclusive."

Just out of curiousity because I don't know the answer having never thought of the question before - but what does happen to someone's pension when they are fired? I have no problem with them losing it if they have not contributed to it in any way but in today's work-world how often is that the case?

It's certainly not that way in the federal government. Government employees actively contribute to their retirement funds. Most private sector people have 401Ks or some similar program - the employee contributes an amount of his choice and maybe the employer matches it to a certain point - that can't be taken away, can it? That money, or at least a portion of that money, belongs to the employee - it's been his all along.

    Just askin.

Well if you hadn't been spending so much time surfing porn then you'd know:D(sorry MrsP but you kinda set yourself up....well at least from my perverted perspective:rolleyes:).

As far as your question... I don't know(what have I been doing, LOL) but it seems as though the employer has paid that money out for a period of service just like salary or pay. They can't take that back, can they? In sports certain pay and bonuses can be taken back if a player breaks a contract so maybe in those kind of circumstances it is also.

ProPublica (congrats to them btw on recently receiving a Pulitzer for their outstanding investigative journalism) reported on the SEC and porn back in 08.
SEC Report: Employees Browsed Porn, Ran Private Businesses - ProPublica

The online journal goes on today to make it's case for this "new revelation" being smokescreen material which of course it is much like the latest new-but-old GS headline/ploy. Is the SEC Porn Story a New Problem, or Political Ploy? - ProPublica
