Interesting developments continue....
I took it to mean that JMcD wasn't in control of his own staff... didn't Nolan interview with Denver last week? Or am I thinking of somebody else.Good move by McDaniels on his first assistant hire (assuming it was him who picked). Nolan wasn't much of a head coach, but he is a very good DC. Also, kudos so far for not raiding the Patriots cubboard.
I would say it a Nolan signing is dependent upon the winning vs rebuilding. I believe Nolan is a 4-3 guy.
The Denver defense truly sucked. However, it would take even longer to go to a 3-4 than trying to improve on a 4-3. My guess they want to win sooner vs later.
Capers is not a big loss nor is he a great addition on this team IMO - Who cares if he goes??
