    The Myth Of Scarce Oil

Food for thought when paying $4+ at the pimp this summer.

When you include shale and the technology required to extract oil from it, does the $4 per gallon of gas change up or down? just asking. I have no idea

And that is the $1000 question, isn't it?

I'm skeptical of any article that states "the US is awash in vast quantities...enough to last hundreds of years".

Yeah, maybe if we only use oil to light our lamps....

Press Coverage should be arriving shortly....

As long as the oil price is > $60/bbl shale is economic, currently the price of oil is ~$105, so if we develop the capacity to get our liquid energy from shale it could be much lower than the current prices, we would be looking at more like $2/gal.

I just love how the left makes the claims that supply has nothing to do with gas prices.
Well as predicted by Patradomus. Because of Obama stumbling poll numbers he has just released "supply."
Since the big fat liar and his lying machine (MSM) went head over heels to tell you it has nothing to do with supply.Of Course he releases more supply.

Like I said never, ever listen to what Obama says.Watch what he does.

Funny how that works, spend all their time claiming that producing more energy won't affect prices then when prices could affect the election they demand that the reserve be released to lower prices....

    :singing::rolleyes:

If the infrastructure is down three refineries, will all this "new" oil translate into gasoline???

What is the economic cost and environmental cost of creating gasoline from shale, hopefully less expensive than hydrofracking???

Why is the infrastructure down 3 refineries.....oh yeah you can't get a permit to build them and the EPA is issuing new regs to shut down existing ones, like they are doing with the coal elec plants....

Remember Obama promised that elec prices would 'of necessity' skyrocket and H Chu his Energy Sec is hoping for high gas prices like Europe.

At least people can't accuse Obama of failing on his promise of higher energy prices..... :singing:

They are not down because they cannot be built, they are already built.

If you modify the rules so they cannot function....you are effectivly shutting them down.

You are really off your game today, try taking a nap.
