Declining scores as we have increasing numbers of minorities, Blacks and Hispanics, don't do as well as whites on these standardized tests.
SAT Scores Fall as Gap Widens; Asians Gain - WSJ.com

Asians are the wrong kind of minorities. They make a convincing case for affirmative action for whites, as they have outnumbered whites at the University of California at Berkeley for years now--even when a much smaller percentage of the high school age population.

Blacks, according to the data, appear academically lost or mis-served by their gubmit schools, which is why school choice has always been a winning issue in cities.

BTW, for decades the makers of the SAT, the Princeton Review, did not disclose results by race or ethnicity. It's too much of a hot potato, I guess.

Solution? Reduce large scale Latin American immigration and encourage East Asian immigration. Unless you think the numbers lie. But the SAT is a pretty good shorthand for IQ. And fifteen years ago The Bell Curve was published, and it's held up remarkably well.

Not well: The scores have been "re-centered" in 2004, so these declines truly are more dramatic than they appear.

Tony Brown, the Black PBS talk show host, came out as a Republican in 1991 or 2 because the success of Asian immigrants showed him the conservative message held validity for the minority group he is a member of. Booker T. Washington holds out more promise--working hard and developing skills--than the Marxism of W.E.B. DuBois, who is revered in academe.

Not surprisingly, Black immigrants, from places like Haiti, often out-perform native-born Blacks who may be more interested in avoiding academic success for fear of "acting white."

Increasingly, it should be viewed, perhaps, as "acting Asian."

Liberals never seem to have much to say about Asians in America there is never any cries of Racism if one of them gets robbed by another minority, there are very few in the movies, sit coms or TV commercials, there are no crys for a "First Asian President" or a "First Asian Supreme Court Judge"...............

Are Asians considered "minoritys" in America?

Mexican, Muslim, African American, Hispanic all slobbered over by the Politically correct Holy Do-Gooders.

    ASIANS & AMERICAN INDIANS--------"NOTHING".....

It's funny how we embrace foreign athletes on our professional sports teams, but otherwise may of us don't want any around... didn't it start that way for blacks a several decades ago?
