They must be worried that Barack's numbers aren't as good as they were earlier this year so they are just trying to find ways to help the guy out!

The Family Leader's leader has said he won't endorse any candidate who doesn't sign.

Well now there's a threat guaranteed to have everyone shaking in their boots.

What ever happened to "jobs, jobs, jobs?"

Back in the 2010 elections that's all anyone could talk about......nothing else mattered. No one was going to Washington to do anything BUT get jobs.

Now it's all about morality, morality, morality.

I guess they figure if you gotta be poor you may as well be miserable in every other way, too.

I used to look up my 7th grade teachers dress every tuesday morning and I've watched few dirty movies in my day but lets face it this country is obsessed with f-cking, the entertainment industry thrives on it, watch a few sit coms they all seem to think they can't be funny unless they slop and slurp about sex, remember Anna Nichole Smith whenever a camera was on her she felt as though she had to gyrate her big fat ass, she made people vomit, the poor slob was brainwashed by the Sex Sellers.

Billy Blue Dress will go down in history as "The Cigar Man" that is his legacy.

"I did not have sex with that women".................:singing::singing:

Here come the morality police. This is some seriously stupid ****. If you don't like it, don't watch it. I can totally understand having rules and regs to keep porn away from the underaged or children, but to go further than that is an infringement on personal liberty.

I don't see porn at the Hills link so I don't know what "oppose" means. I'm going to guess it means ban until otherwise noted.

I'm going to guess that the "pledge" they signed must be where "porn" is listed. I'm guessing because the link to it at the article was dead due to a bandwith overload.

    Holy Sh!t!!

    The Candidate Vow:

Therefore, in any elected or appointed capacity by which I may have the honor of serving our fellow citizens in these United States, I the undersigned do hereby solemnly vow* to honor and to cherish, to defend and to uphold, the Institution of Marriage as only between one man and one woman. I vow* to do so through my:
 Personal fidelity to my spouse.9
 Respect for the marital bonds of others.10
 Official fidelity to the U.S. Constitution, supporting the elevation of none but faithful constitutionalists as judges or justices.11
 Vigorous opposition to any redefinition of the Institution of Marriage – faithful monogamy between one man and one woman – through statutory-, bureaucratic-, or court-imposed recognition of intimate unions which are bigamous, polygamous, polyandrous, same-sex, etc.12
 Recognition of the overwhelming statistical evidence that married people enjoy better health, better sex, longer lives, greater financial stability, and that children raised by a mother and a father together experience better learning, less addiction, less legal trouble, and less extramarital pregnancy. 13
 Support for prompt reform of uneconomic, anti-marriage aspects of welfare policy, tax policy, and marital/divorce law, and extended “second chance” or “cooling-off” periods for those seeking a “quickie divorce.” 14
 Earnest, bona fide legal advocacy for the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) at the federal and state levels.15
 Steadfast embrace of a federal Marriage Amendment to the U.S. Constitution which protects the definition of marriage as between one man and one woman in all of the United States. 16
 Humane protection of women and the innocent fruit of conjugal intimacy – our next generation of American children – from human trafficking, sexual slavery, seduction into promiscuity, and all forms of pornography and prostitution, infanticide, abortion and other types of coercion or stolen innocence.17
 Support for the enactment of safeguards for all married and unmarried U.S. Military and National Guard personnel, especially our combat troops, from inappropriate same-gender or opposite-gender sexual harassment, adultery or intrusively intimate commingling among attracteds (restrooms, showers, barracks, tents, etc.); plus prompt termination of military policymakers who would expose American wives and daughters to rape or sexual harassment, torture, enslavement or sexual leveraging by the enemy in forward combat roles.18
 Rejection of Sharia Islam and all other anti-woman, anti-human rights forms of totalitarian control.19
 Recognition that robust childbearing and reproduction is beneficial to U.S. demographic, economic, strategic and actuarial health and security. 20
 Commitment to downsizing government and the enormous burden upon American families of the USA‟s $14.3 trillion public debt, its $77 trillion in unfunded liabilities, its $1.5 trillion federal deficit, and its $3.5 trillion federal budget.21
 Fierce defense of the First Amendment‟s rights of Religious Liberty and Freedom of Speech22, especially against the intolerance of any who would undermine law-abiding American citizens and institutions of faith and conscience for their adherence to, and defense of, faithful heterosexual monogamy.

Michele Bachmann, Rick Santorum Sign 'The Marriage Vow'

There's some other stuff, too, about how black children born into slavery were better off, family wise, than black children born today.

I don't interpret the passage on pornography the way the OP does. It says

"Humane protection of women and the innocent fruit of conjugal intimacy – our next generation of American children – from human trafficking, sexual slavery, seduction into promiscuity, and all forms of pornography and prostitution, infanticide, abortion and other types of coercion or stolen innocence."

It seems to me that this document is referring to porn or prostitution as a result of coercion or human sex trade (especially when you read the footnote, which was not quoted in this thread). I think the candidates need to clarify their position because IMHO, one should remain legal whereas the other shouldn't.

What's interesting about this particular passage is the wording, "and the innocent fruit of conjungal intimacy - our next generation of American children."

Is it deliberate wording "fruit of conjungal intimacy," which fully intends to leave out any necessity of protecting children who are not born to married people, or is it just unthinking rude wording written by unthinking rude people?

    Either way, it's pretty sick.

"The sins of the fathers," and all that.

    I'm sorry.

This one sounds like something straight out of Animal Farm.

"Two children good - Four children better."

I'm pretty sure ya-all know how the rest of that works.

The only sickness I see here is the interpretation that somehow that paragraph only applies to protecting children of married people. Talk about a stretch.

You're right, Missus. Michelle Bachman would have no problem with selling illegitimate children into sexual slavery.

Speaking of unthinking rude people, what happened to the old "you have me on ignore" declaration you made some time ago? I much preferred not hearing you yap on and on about things you clearly don't understand.

What they fail to mention in this passage was that in 1860, one parent owned both the husband and wife, and if you were a slave you did not have the freedom to get married... dumbf..cks.

The "robust childbearing and reproduction" harkens to the days of Hitler's Master Race. They want the state to regulate every aspect of American's sex lives.

Government small enough to fit in your bedroom and in a woman's uterus. The Granny State Right knows what is best for you... the party of limited government wants to control every aspect of your lives..

Women become ambulatory pregnancy machines in this warped view of the world. Continue to produce those white children...

Just another effort to perpetuate the idea of an american theocracy, George, Thomas, Ben and John just rolled over in their graves...

Haters gonna hate, liars gonna lie. Bachmann & Santorum gonna lie and hate.

Marriage seems a terribly fragile institution.

Even with serious tax advantages accruing to anybody who gets married, it seems to need all manner of "acts" and "pledges" to keep it going.

Of course, those who actually want to get married are the biggest threat to it...

It's good to know that Michele Bachmann will un-"debase" the "currency of marriage" by stopping "quickie divorce," "non-committal co-habitation" and " "unwed cheating" among celebrities, sports figures and politicians. "

It's downright amusing when you get to the "anti-scientific bias" declarations... signed by these two?

Of course, it's all more "alternate universe" stuff when you get to that part... but ask either of these clods whether they think man evolved, or how old the universe is, and I'm pretty sure their concern about "anti-scientific bias" will disappear.

Wait no I forgot... in bizarro world, the world actually is 6,000 years old, apes evolved from men or something, and so forth.

It is a terrible, terrible thing to be heterosexual, white, and Christian in Bachmann's america... But that's how things are in Bachmann's world.

She'll toss out all the right wing talking points you want, and then some. Now she'll sign pledges to the government of neverneverland or whatever the hell this is. Color me shocked.

Please, Republicans, please nominate this woman.

Her, Palin, Santorum, a Paul of your choosing... please, whatever you do, stick with the crazies that have taken over lately.

Unemployment is high, and the pubbies want it higher. They want to kill the recovery, and they're doing a damn good job with the phony debt ceiling moment we're all about to pay for with our country's wellbeing. It's likely to be a shambles by the time they run... and they're betting that if the problems are radical enough, people will turn to radical solutions.

But I'm not sure they make it bad enough for loonies like this to become America's "answer" to their manufactured crisis. Too many mixed messages.

Pretty chilling though, attempting to recreate the Depression, then coming out with hate agendas, and gambling that an economically ruined country will vote for a far right ideologue. I've seen this movie before. The tactics are the same.
