Damn, now they have a three way QB controversey. And it involves the kid I had hoped we'd have taken late in the 2011 draft.
I don't like it.
Mark Sanchez was the best starting QB for the Jets.
As long as your goal is to watch the Jets play terrible football that is.
From the little i saw of him he really seemed to live up to that noodle arm reputation.
And Ryan Lindley...my god how horrible he is. That dude should not be on a NFL roster. Rookie or not. Dude was just oblivious.
Here is the SAD, SAD thing. Sanchez was only pulled after throwing 3 Interceptions.
All Mcelroy did was lead the Jets to scoring one TD. And it was enough for the Jets to win.
I mean how terriblly bad is that? Sanchez cost his team 3 opportunities to score. And all they really needed was 1 TD to win. Just think how badly Sanchez has been holding back the Jets with his atrocious play.
McElroy is a 2nd year player from Alabama. It looks like he will be the Jets starter from here on out for this season.
why is this good news for us ?? they may actually be better now ...
I bet Rex starts Sanchez next week. He'll never admit Sanchez is the wrong guy.
Thank god we're done with them for the year...
Because he's not that good, but he's good enough to win one or two more games for NYJ and totally screw up their draft position.
For now it doesn't matter. We are done with the Jets this season. I'd wait until next year to worry.
What's good about this is that it will continue to ruin Sanchez is a quarterback.
Which is nice because he has almost $9M guaranteed next year.
Maybe if we're lucky he'll be even worse next year. If that's possible.
not until rex is canned from the jesters.
then in his tell all book, he will then admit what a crappy decision it was to bring on sancheeeze
So glad they pulled off a draft-damaging, meaningless win.
Sanchez is mentally soft. He's now been pulled for a 3rd stringer who can't hit mid-range outs. Even if he goes back in, he's all but finished in New York. Whether it's Tebow or McElroy, the precedent has been set and Sanchez' job isn't safe anymore.
And the QBs in this year's draft are lousy.
Sanchez meet ceiling
Same here, the longer it took the Jets to can Sanchez the better it was for us. But I guess it could only last so long, the guy is truly horrible and even the Jets were going to figure it out before season's end. I just hope his contract isn't easy to get out of for them.
Tyler Wilson is a solid QB. TOUGH - with a capital, capital T - mobile and pretty accurate. He will make some team very happy - especially with a good QB Coach. He is a little raw, but has more upside than Tannehill - even outplayed him last year.
Hopefully they reach for one and ignore an area of need that has better players available.
All I want for Christmas is to GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE.
that city..those fans..those coaches..that owner..has ruined that kids career...amazing
