He is sending a diary-type story of his days in Iraq this week with some other NFL personnel and so far it appears he has written twice on his Blackberry about his adventures out in the middle east
    - Looking forward to his third report

The link is to his latest report but you can go back to the original with the link at the bottom

I think its awesome for Sammy to head out to dangerous land to hang out with the troops and shows why he is as great a man as he is a player

Thanks. Really a good read. I love how he keeps referring to thumping the NFC champs 47-7 in the first entry. :)

First day link like he said is on the bottom but I thought I would post it, I have a lot of respect for this guy and the group that took the time to do this. If I remember correctly Watson went overseas last year to visit with the troops too.

If you guys didn't know Morris also received the Ed Block Courage Award which is voted on by teammates and bestowed annually upon the player who best exemplifies the principles of courage and sportsmanship while also serving as a source of inspiration.

Thank you Sammy. These men and women deserve all the "from home" contacts that they can get.

Now I hope that no one wants to make a political statement on this thread as has happened in the past. If you do, take it to the political forum. Fair warning.
