Oh well...the AFC East is usually one of the toughest divisions in football, and should be next season with the Dolphins and Jets improving, and who knows maybe the Bills too.

ETA - this proves the AFC East isn't the worst division this year, contrary to many "experts".

Jets improving? They're in salary cap hell.

I figure with Curtis Martin and Chad Pennington slated to return, they have nowhere to go but up. That's my line of thinking, really. Don't expect the Jets to be contenders or anything, just that they'll be closer to a .500 team than they were this season.

The experts were saying that before the Pats and Dolphins had their respective late-season surges: Pats won 6 of last 8, Fins won last 6. That did a lot to improve our Sagarin ranking, which is purely mathematical.

Bills D took a powder this year, whomever takes the reins over there should be able to kick start something there to make them competitive. The O will be a greater challenge, their supposed to have a good O-line coach, but their either giving him crap to work with or he's not as good as they claim. QB, ha!

The Jets will be scrappy next season, but after playing Miami and NE twice, they're going to be scrap.
