On ESPN2 in just a couple of minutes, they are going to discuss why the Patriots D is better than you think... should be interesting. Will report back what is said (if you care that is). OK here's what they said: The only worthy thing worth reporting here is that Michael Smith pointed out that through the first 8 games of the season the Pats averaged somewhere around 1.8 sacks per game. Through the second half of the season though the Pats have averaged 3.3 sacks per game. The other guys just harped on the yards allowed which, as we know, is garbage seeing as how yards allowed doesn't mean squat unless the opposition scores. I didn't realize that the Pats had doubled their sack numbers per game through the season. I think this is significant and shows an improvement with the pass rush which should be huge this weekend.
