Well of course he did, when snakes start to loose money and sponsors they have to backtrack on what they say.....

Like most on the right, money is more important then anything.....

Clearly trying to weather the storm. He is not sorry for what he said, he is sorry it's blowing up in his face. Even Don Imus ripped him today for his weak apology.

I think Rush will end up being OK. He is taking a hit but I expect him to survive the storm. There are still 20 million listeners on 600 stations or whatever it is that will support the advertisers who stick with him. Plus with Super Tuesday coming up and other major news events this might blow over in another day or two.

There is no excuse for what Limbaugh said about that young lady.
Sometimes I believe he steps over the line to drum up interest in his
show. There are some people who love "shock TV/Radio".

Howard Stern has made a career of it.

This move clearly backfired or he would not have given an apology, never
    mind multiple apologies.

I do find it kind of ironic, that while he is losing endorsements for
putting his foot in his mouth, Michael Vick has gained back endorsements
    this year.

I disagree with Limbaugh, but as far as I know he did not break any laws
with his senseless comments about the young women.

Rush will end up being better than OK. Things like this raise his ratings and where there are high ratings, there are ALWAYS sponsors willing to jump in.

The liberals are deluding themselves into pretending that he will in some way suffer, but believe me when I say he's laughing all the way to the bank. :rocker:

......at the expense of the right wing candidates this year.

    Fine, I'll take that trade.

They are crapping their pants over this, and rightfully so. Some are actually, gulp, standing up to him.

This from conservative operative David Frum:

Like I said folks, the left is pathetically desperate to distract from the real issue at hand. Go ahead, please, I beg you. PLEASE make a campaign issue out of this. Because I know how mainstream America feels about the idea that employers should be forced to do things that violate their religious beliefs.

BTW, were you this outraged and indignant when Bill Maher called Sarah Palin a "stupid tw*t"? Or are you just a partisan hypocrite?

Evidently, you didn't read the linked David Frum column.

I didn't expect you to. Reading a thoughtful piece by a conservative columnist might be too hard for you.

There's a suprise. A liberal moderator engaging in personal attacks.

I guess personal attacks are all you have left after your own ignorance and bankrupt arguments have been exposed. :rocker:

Some of us were talking about this in the other thread. My point was exactly that. The issue is not what he said, the issue is his political views. Otherwise they would have called for Bill Maher, Eddy, and Keith Olbermann to get canned as well. They want to silence people who they disagree with. That is why they are celebrating Rush losing advertising and hope he gets fired. If they agree with the person they will justify it to no end how it is OK for that person to say what they said. If they disagree, they hope they get fired. Phony, selfish, one way thinking.

Bill maher and olbermann were canned ( in a sense ) maher used to have a show on comedy central, olbermann was suspended for a time, then let go from msnbc. They were also critics of Palin, who was a public figure running for VP.

Rush has a history of this kind of hate speech, Chelsea Clinton felt his rath, Donovan McNabb has a case...somehow Rush remains the Teflon hippo on oxy?

When imus is calling out rush, he's gone too far.

Defending him shows how far gone the GOP is.

I'm so proud not to be associated with that kind of allegiance.

I fully condemned Bill Maher (as I did Letterman) immediately for what he said.

Schultz apologized immediately for his and was taken off the air for a week without pay.

    Olbermann is gone.

    Your point?

In the meantime, none of those people are the Democratic party like Rush is the GOP. Frum is right.

No reason to flog a dead horse, is there?

I feel no need to rub anyone's nose in anything.

Besides, the loss of 23 sponsors and 2 radio stations says it all, doesn't it?

His words have always said everything I ever needed to know about the man - sponsors and radio stations be damned.

You just had the YAY!! in your post yesterday with the Lost Sponsor count, and didnt see it in today's updated count.
