Coincidentally, both Obama and Nancy Pelosi are in Hawaii currently. Last year, Obama was in Hawaii when his grandmother died suddenly. And now this?

HONOLULU -- Conservative radio talk host Rush Limbaugh was rushed to a Honolulu hospital on Wednesday afternoon with chest pains, sources told KITV.

Paramedics responded to the call at 2:41 p.m. at the Kahala Hotel and Resort.

Limbaugh, 58, suffered from chest pains, sources said. Limbaugh was sitting in a chair in his ninth-floor hotel room at the Kahala when emergency crews arrived, sources said. He told medical crews that he was taking medication for a back problem, sources said.

Paramedics treated him and took him to Queen's Medical Center in serious condition. He will not be released from the hospital on Wednesday night, sources said.

He was seen golfing at Waialae Country Club earlier this week. The country club is next to the Kahala Hotel and Resort.

The radio show host had been in the islands during the holidays. Coincidentally, his visit comes at a time when two of the nation's most powerful Democrats, President Barack Obama and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, are also staying in Hawaii.

In 2001, Limbaugh received a cochlear implant after he suddenly lost hearing due to autoimmune inner ear disease. Limbaugh underwent treatment in 2003 for an addiction to prescription painkillers, including Lorcet, Norco and hydrocodone.

Oh, he must be. I've gotten 3 "Breaking news" emails from CNN telling me so.

They did mention that he told the paramedics that he was on medication for "back pain."

    Tylenol, maybe.

When i hear he was on "medication" i don't think tylenol, i think tylenol mixed with Codeine. Or just plain synthetic opiates like Oxycontin. Anyways if Fat Man lost some wgt he he most likely wouldn't have Back problems. Upon examination they found a large lump of congealed fat were his heart should be.

He's actually lost something like 60 pounds in the last couple years, for what it's worth. I love the OP's original spin, just for entertainment value. Another tinfoil helmet moment...

Of course, if God forbid this is "the big one" for Rush, I doubt very seriously that righties will accept a death certificate issued by the state of Hawaii.

Without question......... I'm not huge Rush fan. I generally agree with his sentiments, but he's a little over the top. I view him much the way I view Beck. He's an entertainer, doing little more then preaching to his flock that loves to hear his sermon.

That said........ The guy doesn't deserve death. Good for you Patters for not dancing prematurely on his grave.

Errrrr..... Not so much here.

His eulogy on MSNBC should be interesting, if even at all.
FOX will start a campaign for a national day of mourning /holiday when he does croak.

BTW, losing wieght won't do anything to repair his over-strained heard and vascular system ravaged by drugs and sitting on his arse. The damage has been done. The best it can do is reduce any more damage.

We all deserve death. Too bad for Rush his doctors will keep him alive longer than he'll want because, ironically, he has so much money. I wouldn't want to live in that body he's made for himself.

No we don't...... No one deserves death....... It's just something that happens to us.

Then why even use the word "deserve"?

    Just seemed odd to me.

BTW, there are people who deserve death. Besides Osama Bin Ladin, child molesters and puppy eaters, there are many people kept artificially alive much longer than they should be. Just nit-picking, but...you know....
