I have been defending BB’s running up the score by cite all the other teams who have ran up the score. Such as:

1940 Chicago Bears: 41-10 vs. Packers; 47-25 vs. Rams; 73-0 vs. Redskins.
1954 Cleveland Browns; 62-3 vs. Rams; 42-7 vs. Steelers; 56-10 vs. Lions.
1962 Green Bay Packers: 49-0 vs. Bears; 49-0 vs. Eagles; 41-10 vs. Rams.
1971 Dallas Cowboys: 42-7 vs. Eagles; 56-17 vs. Falcons; 41-14 vs. Steelers.
1972 Miami Dolphins: 52-0 vs. Patriots.
1984 San Francisco 49ers: 41-7 vs. Bears; 51-7 vs. Falcons.
1991 Washington Redskins: 45-0 vs. Lions; 56-17 vs. Falcons; 41-14 vs. Steelers.

But I am not going to do that anymore, because two wrongs don’t make a right. And just because George Halas, Paul Brown, Vince Lombardi, Tom Landry',Don Shula, Bill Walsh, and Joe Gibbs are classless individuals with absolutely no respect for the game of football, doesn’t excuse BB for being classless.

No, from now on I am not going to cite other blowouts. I am going to tell the complainers it is because BB respects the other team....

As much as he respects the 1992 Bills who down 32 points in the third quarter came back and beat Houston 41-38 in overtime to win a playoff game in overtime.

Or the 1980 49ers who game back from being down 28 points the 3rd quarter to beat the Saints 38-35 in over time

Or the Bills down 26 points who game back to beat Indy in 1997.

Or the Rams in 1987 who were scoreless and losing 28-0 in the FORTH QUARTER and came back to beat the Bucs 31-28 in regulation.

It is about respecting the other team.

Yeah, it's a battle you're not going to win. It's unfortunate but true. I figured out that it's not worth arguing with my friends from college because every defense I have is followed with "CHEATERS" or something along that vein.
