Running Back: It’s Gonna Be Maroney

People just don't get it. BJGE makes this team as a 5th RB and he's a game day inactive unless one of the others is hurting... If they don't keep him you find that guy on the street or off someone's PS or on the waiver wire as needed. He has little or no role on ST. All of the others have shown that when healthy they can be a force in the running game and decent blockers, and Maroney and Faulk have a crucial role on ST.

Two RBs that Schefter reports may be cut are Jamal Lewis and Michael Bennett. I wouldn't mind having either of those guys for a game or two if the Pats need to pick up a veteran off the street at least for a game or two.

Not only would it be stupid to cut Green-Ellis, but it would be really stupid to cut Maroney as well. In fact, Maroney is extremely cheap, only 24 and is the Pats best kick return man. Lastly, can you remember what happened last season? Maroney got injured, Morris got injured and Jordan got injured. The Pats would be smart to to keep 5 on the roster because of the injury history of the current RB's.

If they happen to only keep four (two young, two older) I hope they scan the waiver-wire for another guy to get onto the P-Squad. Maybe even this Chris Taylor guy could go there if he's alright.

they only way they don't keep 5 is if they put morris on PUP

3 of the RB's are 30+.....need the extra just like last year

If we are looking at the 53rd, 52nd, etc spot, it will be players that are inactives unless there are injuries.
For BJGE to be active we would need 2 injuires to RBs. For a LB, OL, DB, WR, ST ace, to be active we would typically need 1.
We simply do not operate under the idea that 'we have to keep him or someone else will get him'.
BJGE is a borderline NFL RB. 20-30 of those will be cut this weekend, and one will either end up on our ps or be picked up when we have an injury?

Morris is ineligible for the PUP
