Nobody thought he was really stepping down, they can give anyone the title, but in the end the same people are making decisions.

Honestly, I couldn't even get the video to play on my computer but without seeing exactly what you linked to, having his desk still there doesn't seem like a big deal.

    word.

Its actually Pelosi talking about the plane trips across country. then she loses it for a second and calls out the fact that this attack on her comes from the Pentagon, and Rumsfeldf still has a desk there.

I think what she is saying is that the same foolios who have been running th epentagon still are, and they are up to smear tactics yet again.

I agree, much of what has gone on has to do with smearing the opposition as well as fighting terrorism. Rumsfield is an architect of what is going on, and continues to be an architect of this conflict. GWB, Cheney and Rumsfield are the architects, the rest are all puppets.

how many of the pre-war protractors and enablers have quit or been removed?

let's seee... off the top of my head...

    Rummy? "gone"
    Wolfowitless? gone
    Feith? gone
    Powell? gone
    Tenet? gone
    Ashcroft? gone
    Fleischer? gone
    McClellan? gone
Libby? gone, and in big trouble...
    Bremer? gone
    O'Neill? gone

that doesn't even count the generals removed or demoted... what does this tell anyone?

he was still an enabler, with his speech to the UN... point is, he quit... because he knew what they were doing was wrong...

So he's damned if he does, then damned if he doesn't -- from your viewpoint.

Looks like nobody can win for losing, in your book. Why don't you list all the Democrats who were once for the war, and are now "against it" (though they cannot seem to find the veto button on funding the war). The list would be only about, say, ten times longer than the one you supplied above.

that has absolutely nothing to do with my point, which you apparently REFUSE to acknowledge... not that i'm surprised... Powell was in the dessent camp all along, and i applaud him for that, even if his silence has really hurt America...

my point again, read it slower this time, is that all these pre-war planners and enablers have quit... something must be conscious biting on them if so many can't see it through....
