So it would make no sense for him not to go to the Pats after the Colts made an offer.

If the scenario I mentioned happened, Uberstine would not dare go to
the PATs because the Colts told Uberstine they have an agrement as
long as he does not let the PATs match the offer.
If he went to the PATs to haggle Colts simple withdraw the offer and
Uberstine would have nothing but egg on his face.

Again
It just seem strange that Uberstine would on his own go out and contact the
Colts when he wasn't even Adams agent not even knowing that Adam
would drop Cornich if he got the deal.
Something really smells here.

It doesn't matter that they haven't signed the deal yet. What matters is the fact remains that Gary Uberstine's office is who called the Colts regarding Adam's availability last week. PRIOR to Adam even visiting Green Bay. And prior to Adam officially firing Cornich's office.

I think that Cornich's office would actually have legal right to go after both Uberstine's office AND Adam himself because of this. Also, there is a good chance that Uberstine's office could be suspended the way that Carl Poston was suspended.

This smacks of unethical business practices.

Cornrich would probably be the best judge of that.

You can fire an agent in mid negotiation and finish the deal with another. The fired agent then gets $175 per hour for his time and efforts on that deal only.

BTW Poston was suspended for stupidity. Under the circumstances Conrich's associate might be more likely to be suspended since the NFLPA is more concerned in these instances with protecting the players interests than protecting cutthroat agents from each other.

If the Pats match the offer, why would he care if the Colts pull their offer off the table? I doubt that he went on his own accord to find a taker for AV. It would not make sense without talking to Vinatieri first. He wouldn't make any money off the deal without being his agent. I'm guessing that they had a conversation and he told him to see what kind of deals were out there for him.

Actually it's Cornrich's office...as he is suspended.....the agent's name is Hurst from that office. From what I gather there are lots of things that happen and the NFL and NFLPA both turn their backs on a lot of it. But really with the timing et all, it seems like AV had 2 agents...smells, but what are you going to do.
