I for one am glad justice took its course and there was no false indictment or rush to judgement.

    http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/06/13/rove.cia/index.html

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- White House senior adviser Karl Rove has been told by Special Counsel Patrick Fitzgerald that he will not be charged in the CIA leak case, according to Robert Luskin, Rove's lawyer.

"In deference to the pending case, we will not make any further public statements about the subject matter of the investigation," Luskin said in a written statement Tuesday. "We believe that the special counsel's decision should put an end to the baseless speculation about Mr. Rove's conduct."

A grand jury has heard testimony from Rove in five appearances, most recently April 26.

Not exactly cleared, Harry. There just wasn't quite enough evidence to indict him. That, and nobody could disprove his "I just don't remember" statements.

"Not guilty" is NOT the same as "innocent."

Sorta like the Clinton Whitehouse where nobody know how the 900+ raw FBI files got into the WH in violation of the law?

What's this, my guy is dirty but look at yours?

Where under this topic was Clinton being discussed?

Clinton, especially towards the end, was an embarrasment to the office and to the country.

Can we now get to the topic at hand?

All right, all right, I guess you are allowed to have your fun but you have to admit that MaineFan does have a valid point.

My opinion on the whole Plame case was that it was bogus from the word go. Wilson and his wife's CIA employment was in Who's Who before Wilson was sent to Africa. The real scandal was that his Wife got him the gig to do a political hachet job to change policy. Clear conflict of interest.

A number of mainstream reporters know of Plame's CIA employment and said it was 'common' knowledge in Washington as the Wilson's were on the A list socially. She had not been in the field in years.

I will predict that Fitz's case against Libby will go down in flames.

All most of us care for is due process and ultimately justice... no reason to do anything different... the constitution works very well for everybody, if the groundrules are followed.

Do you know something that the special prosecutor didn't? Maybe you should share it with the rest of us or at least the man in charge of the investigation.

Fitzgerald now has to come to come to his senses and drop this fiasco against Libby before he does more harm to his future career as a prosecutor. I believe he has bowed to the pressures from the media to prosecute something just for the sake of prosecuting.

Maybe Rove learned that one from, The Smartest Women In The World Pant Suit Hillary, remember her answers, "I don't recall" "I'm sorry, I don't remember" over and over again. (The Smartest Women In The World could remember NOTHING) :singing:

Careful, Harry Boy--your hero (I'm sure) Ronald Reagan used the "I don't remember" and "I don't recall" defense dozens of times when he was questioned about the Iran-Contra scandal.

Of course he did, do you expect a Politician to tell the truth, my point is "THEY ALL DO IT" even the Sainted Canonized Democrats.

When he is questioned about the money in his freezer Congressman Jefferson (Black Man Democrat) will probably say, "I don't recall putting that money in there" CNN, The NY Times and the Black Caucus will believe him. It isn't Politically Correct not to believe him, is it?
