where "true leadership" means using your private, outrageously over-pimped bus to "aid" a few hundred campaign supporters with free stuff...

how could they NOT make this decision?

    "true leadership"... that's rich

The author of this thread, does not understand the concept of what you should do and what is expected of you... this is not leadership, but common sense.

Wow...haven't heard you say THAT before.....

What about those who have been GIVEN nothing and worked for everything they have?

BTW....Your Bible quote is only a guiding principle and a CHOICE...it sure isn't a law Darryl.

Nice to know you're a good Christian though....

    Here's my version.....

"Those who are able-bodied but do nothing, should expect nothing"

    I wouldn't try telling a "Christian" that.

It is the way many people choose to live their lives.. your commentary has absolutely nothing to do with this thread...

This quote pretty much cuts across all religions.. there are segments of this in pretty much all of relgions and philosophies..

You are right, I am wrong.. even though your commentary was in response to my comments...

Who really cares, guess in your world what Romney is doing is a really great thing which this thread is about.. imo everyone should do something.

That's a nice small gesture on Romney's part. Not sure if he can show much leadership in his position right now. Advantage Obama.

Well if he had said 10% of all campaign donations from the month of October are going towards helping the helpless from the storm he would get my attention. So he just threw a pebble into Lake Michigan ... should I be impressed?

How much you wanna bet Thurston Howell's bus will be avoiding cities like Camden and Trenton, NJ?

Perhaps he'll have them just swing up to Stamford, Conn., and bring "rations" to his people.

I'm all comfy right now and thinking of taking a nap.....

i think he means if you're in position to

most people not in a position to help, can still donate money or time, or supplies to the relief effort afterwards
