Didn't know you were a Clinton fan.

If you're not, shouldn't his endorsement of Romney bother you?

Good on Clinton - he found something positive to say and he said it. If only all politicians were as secure in themselves and their party's candidates that they could be so magnanimous to the other side.

Saying something nice does not, however, equal an endorsement.

Clinton: I'm endorsing Obama, not Romney

I can see that the 'biggest liar on the forum' title holder has a little competitor.

Bill Clinton will never ever forget "the back stabbing" the Racists in the democratic party gave Hillary, but he will bite his tongue and hold it all in until Obama and Hillary are well into retirement.

Bill Clinton has no adoring leg tingling love for Barack Hussein Obama, that is a fact.

That quote will be used a 100 times targeting Indies and conservative dems and will be enough for them to pull the lever for a republican rather than vote for the abysmal failure of the radical leftist.

This along with the supreme court flushing down the toilet the signature policy of the great "constitutional professor" for being an unconstitutional law. Should be enough to send him back to Chicago wearing a helmet and flak jacket to the same war zone community's where he was advising and organizing.

Was anyone campaigning that Romney was unqualified to be President?

I think the statement intimates that he is more qualified than the one who is pres. now.

I think he clarified that when he followed it up with this:

"But," Clinton added, "he shouldn't be elected, because he is wrong on the economy and all these other issues.

The selective editing by right wing blogs, is disengenuous and unfortunately a whole bunch of wingnuts just follow along...

If it sounds too good to be true.... blah, blah.

Wow, I've never heard being appointed Secretary of State as a 'backstabbing' before. I guess you learn something new everyday.

So what did Obama 'do' to Biden when he asked him to be VP?

If only you could learn to comment upon subject matter and remove your emotions from your posts (not insult other members), you'd be acting like a real adult.

I think Bill Clinton feels a little anamosity toward Obama. Whether it's because of the 2008 election, or simply a matter of an accomplished, tried and true former president disliking the fawn people have over the "in my day this guy would have been getting us coffee" holder of the oval office. It's just a hunch I have.

Pant Suit Hillary would be president of the USA today if it wern't for the "Oprah Winfrey Racists" Oprah loved the Clintons like family until Jug Ears came along, Obama realized what happened thats why Hillary got the Secretary job, the whole world knows that.

Remember what happened to Geraldine Ferarro for saying the same thing I did, she was practically banished from the Party.

    Who are the racists, Harry?

Saying it repeatedly doesn't make it so, even if you are a republican.

Saying somebody is qualified is not an endorsement.

    Words matter.

I recall Clinton defending Ginrich when he got blasted for the computers for the poor comment. We know how much Bill admired Newt.

Bill seems apalled as to how his comments were interpreted... good commentary on the state of US politics/media....

The right is so concerned about vetting processes, one might think that they would check their sources as the media/blogoshpere that they all love is usually unreliable.. otoh maybe their "vetting" is situational and exclusive.

Or maybe it is as simple as they are just conditioned and content with half truths(lies)....

Absolutely, Clinton is the consummate politician who knows how to parse words ( the meaning of "is") so that both sides can find something they like in the quote. I think he probably harbors some ill will for preventing Hillary from becoming President and this is his way of supporting President Obama while getting a "dig" in at the same time.

I agree that when something out-of-step comes from Clinton, it is very unlikely that it just happened. He may have been purposely turning down the heat, or he might think that if he's nice enough, he'll be the token "heal-the-country" Democratic appointment in a Romney regime. He might, as postulated, be eroding Obama's support from the inside. Whatever it is, it's not coincidental, and I don't think it's an unconscious "oopsie." My guess is that it's the front door into getting people to see the other guys as the party of hate, just how he subsequently spun it. It does highlight the difference between now and the past, when politicians could get things done because things weren't quite so apocalyptic and Manichean.

He prefaced his commentary with something about how the Romneys have been uncommonly kind to him and to Hillary, and how they'd played golf together and they were all New Yorkers. It's not a Romney endorsement, and nobody but the insane right will buy that interpretation. What it may be is a "Miss me yet?" billboard, with "Me" representing the pre-teabagger world.
