It was clear as day it was tongue in cheek. We love them when they're here, and then disown them when they're gone. It's definitely funny how that works when guys move on. God help us if Bruschi ever says anything bad
Between Rodney's play as a Patriot, and the loyalty he's shown to the team since he retired, he can just about do or say no wrong in my eyes. To me it was an obvious joke. Rodney LOVES Brady. That's always been evident. We love them when they're here, and then disown them when they're gone. It's definitely funny how that works when guys move on. God help us if Bruschi ever says anything bad

Thanks for running a tight ship once more.
I didn't want to comment of the other thread, but i would thnk people would realize Harrison was kidding or being sarcastic. They were team mates as recently as last year, and if it wasn't for Brady, Rodney wouldn't be sporting two SB rings. Really, would it make any sense that Rodney was serious? NOFrom SI's Jim Trotter via Twitter:
"Harrison said it was a joke. He texted Tom at halftime telling him he was going to say it. Brady texted him back after the game and laughed."
I'm closing the other thread to put that one to bed
What is sad is that I "got" it right away that he was joking, yet the other guys on the show thought he was serious! I was thinking "What clowns. How they hell do such idiots get to act like they are "analysts"." If Rodney REALLY wanted brownie points, he would have turned to the other 2 and gave them a funny look "Have you guys ever heard of sarcasm?". Of course, he would get a **** storm from the producers. How dare anyone make a tv personality out to look stupid or wrong.
