As noted in Peter King's column. My apologies if this was already posted.

Tyree's written a faith-based autobiography - and in a very classy move Harrison gave his perspective. I'm pretty pleased by this as most Patriots fans I speak to have been pretty classy in giving the Giants the credit they deserve in their win - and haven't defaulted to excuses like nearly every team/team fans the Patriots have beaten over the last 8 years.

Here's what Rodney said in response to why he wrote it:

And for what it's worth, King lambastes Asante Samuel, not Rodney for letting that catch happen.

As well he should have. King is a moron, but even he has eyes. Samuel could have blasted Tyree and jarred the ball loose. I liked Asante but the one big problem I had with him was that he was afraid to hit. While his other talents may have won us a few games, his one major deficiency helped lose us a Super Bowl and the greatest single season record of all time.

The best piece of work Peter King has written in a long time... maybe forever.

    #24 Jersey

I might be wrong but I don't think Asante was near the play....I remember James Sanders being close but not Asante.

Now Asante could have held onto the pic though.

He wasn't on the screen but he was in the area. Close enough to zoom into the camera's view and take Tyree's head off. And yes, he could have held onto that pick as well.

Leave it to Mr. Double Standard King to say that the Patriots should cut Kaczur.

Mr. Double Standard first ranks on the Patriots for viedotaping when he has evidence that other teams do it, and he makes barely a mention of the other incidents.

Now he wants one man, Kaczur, held to a higher standard than anyone else. The NFL already has a drug policy. Kaczur has obviously run afoul of it. Why should Kazcur be held to a higher standard than, say, Shawn Merriman or any other player? If this is his second offense, the league will punish him. If it's his first offense, Kazcur will be on the field on opening day, no matter how much Peter King wants to hold the Patriots to a different standard.

Who is Asante Samuel? Is he even on our team? I thought he plays for the Eagles.

And who is that Adam V fellow I keep hearing about on this board?

If you were smart, you'd hold yourself to a higher standard and not read King.

Second that. I have not read King, Dr.Z, or ESPN since October. Not because of a boycot or anything, but I'd rather read something relevant.

ESPN is just trying to bait me as they pander.
Dr.Z has just become senile and I don't drink wine.
King obviously has an axe to grind and thinks he is a bigger part of the story than the story.

Agreed- that was an outstanding gesture and speaks volumes about the kind of leader he is and the kind of example he sets for the rookies.
I also read that he ran up and congratulated Tank Johnson for making a pretty nice play during minicamp.

No ....It was James Sanders watching the action form a great spot on the field. If only he had a camera! I know a lot of you guys out there have some man-love for James, but sorry, this guy is terrible. Think back to the defining play in the 06 Colts playoff game. #36 again with a wiff.

Sanders, Samuel and at least one other (Stomper? Hobbs?) were all just standing around, looking at the miracle, instead of running as fast as possible to Tyree with the intention of treating him as a pack of hyena would treat a wounded gazelle. The lack of intensity, of urgency, of a drive-killer's mentality was very, very disheartening. At that moment, I knew that, unless the jints effed-up all on their own, the defense would do absolutely nothing to stop them from scoring a TD. My heart then sank into my bowels, and I remained speechless for the rest of the game, because I knew that it was over, we were going to lose, and nothing was going to change that fact. It was just a matter of how, and how soon.

Maybe Tyree should've asked me to write the Afterward.

Agree with DW Toys. Meriweather should be starting with Harrison, not Sanders.

I agree--I'm not a Pats fan or a huge Rodney fan, but I have to agree that this was a classy move by Harrison.

    #61 Jersey

They saw Rodney all over him and eased up for a split second figuring he'd make the play. It's like in an NBA game when eight guys stand around while two guys go one-on-one. I wonder if BB said anything to them about that play.

I hate the Colts, I do.

However, That being said, Adam V. scored the final points that got us to the Super Duper Bowl and won that Super Bowl as well, and for that I'm a forever grateful fan.
