    pathetic Bunkerites...

yeah, let's complain that google actually honored Sputnik... get a life...

The Mountain View, Calif., company bathes its logo in stars and stripes every Independence Day, but last week's decision to honor the 50th anniversary of the Sputnik launch -- the second "g" in Google was replaced with a drawing of the Soviet satellite -- is being blasted by some conservatives.

The lead story of the online Popular Mechanics ( you know the mag that debunks any idea of a conspiracy about 9-11, and provides a logical explanation for everything) is about the 50th anniversary of Sputnik.

For those of us who witnessed this it is a very important event in our lives, it gave rise to some hysteria, some thought about how our educational system was secondary to the russian one, and for my RC nuns a whole new perspective on how the atheistic communists were preparing to take over the world. Kinda like "Pinky and the Brain".

Who's "conservative blogger" Giovanni Gallucci? (I think he's Irish) :D

Hey, some people are going to point fingers in every direction I guess. If you ask me, they're stupid.
