per ESPN. But before it starts.....he is Dolphins property and its past the trading deadline. Can we just be clear on that before this thread starts? Thanks.

Good for Ricky. Always been, and still am, a big fan of his. If the Phins'll have him, he should come in handy.

    Disable Jersey

Thanks for saying that. You just saved 43 inane reply posts.

Interestingly with Brown on IR now the Phins could really use Ricky. Wonder what he's weighing these days? Any info?

Yes but the Fins could release him outright, then anyone could sign him.

The phins need depth at every position. Unless he has just worn out his welcome I don't see them releasing him, and even if they do I doubt he gets past TB on the waiver claims.

Right, but why would they? Now that they held on to him through his suspension they are going to release him after all that time when they could actually use him, either as a player or in a trade after the season and get something out of the asset? That makes zero sense too. I thought I didn't have to say that too, but I guess I did.

This late in the year he would be subject to waivers and could be claimed first.

Cameron was very clear after this last suspension that Williams would not play for the phins again, saying something about how he wouldn't want to make the fans suffer another disappointment. It will be interesting to see if losing has changed his tune.

Cameron wasn't even the head coach when Ricky was suspended the last time. Nick Saban was the one who was the head coach.

I can't see why the Dolphins wouldn't at least try to play Ricky. They might be able to get some trade value for him if he plays well. I can't see anything more than a late second day pick at this point, but a team with as many holes as the Dolphins it could be a help.

There is some really good red haired chronic floating around the Davie/Plantation/Sunrise area right now, too!

    I heard this from a - [bubblebubblebubblebubble / *cough*cough*] - friend of mine.

Rickey Williams is too little, too late to save the Dolphin's horrid season. But they kind of needed him since Ronnie Brown went down for the year.

Would it be crazy to think that, if Ricky is decent shape and plays, he might just help the Dolphins win a couple games and possibly overtake the 49ers?

    Or am I high, too?
