Faulk being fumble prone was highly exaggerated. He did not fumble often at all. He had one or two fumbles that happened in big games. The only notable fumble of his was against Denver in the Divisional playoff game.
Kevin did not fumble a lot. He's no Benjarvus but it was never as bad as people made it out to be.
Career fumbles and fumbles lost
Kevin Faulk
1999-2010 - twenty-five and sixteen (the most came in 2000: Six)
Kevin Faulk, RB for the New England Patriots at NFL.com
Ricky Williams
1999-2003 - thirty-four and twenty-two (the most came in 2001: Eight)
2005-2010 - sixteen and eight
Ricky Williams, RB for the Miami Dolphins at NFL.com
Note: Williams was suspended all of the 2006 season, and missed the remainder of the 2007 season after he'd sustained a serious injury in the first game.
Faulk commits fumbles infrequently. But then, he seldom was an integral part of the running game for New England as Williams was with New Orleans and for Miami.
