He is playing to the NY media but he would be wise to not make fun of coaches in front of the media...it tends to come back and bite you in your humungous ass!

Not to mention the fact that he won't be in that situation to even think about it cause his QB would have already thrown his 4th INT and his team will be down by 20 at that point. Nothing to see here he is just a moron

Rexy must be attention deprived with all the focus on Christmas...go for the easy headline grabber to get attention back on him again

I hope the Jets are up by 4 points with two minutes left in the game and are facing a 4th and 2 at midfield, Rexy decides to punt, and then Manning drives down the field to win the game.

why would he go for it on fourth and two from that point? they don't have a good enough offense to make that play.

I gotta say, even though Ryan is the Jets coach and everything, I don't have a hate for him. I've made fun of the guy but he seems alright. Even though he talks a lot, he's nothing like the Mangina, at least for me.

I don't have a problem with what Ryan said either.

Wow, makes a lot of sense for a coach who doesn't even know if his team is still in playoff contention to poke fun at other coaches. What a blowhard.

    #12 Jersey

The only thing that is preventing the Jets from being a real scary team, is the fat man and the gm of the team.. If Woddy was smart, he would fire both of them, and hire Cowher , then we would need to seriously upgrade our team...

But as long as Rex Ryan , who is making himself like a bafoon, and Tannenbum is the gm, then we only have to worry about Miami...

Oh, he will be going for it on forth down. But that's because the Jets will be so far behind.

    #15 Jersey

That is a little nearsighted. Were you expecting the Jets to win the divsion this year, or make the playoffs, with a rookie qb. Ryan is known for his defense. How's that working out?

That is why the Pats are where they are and the Jets are where they are. jets are going the get their !@#$$ handed to them anyhow. See what he says then.

    #24 Jersey

Nah, they'll have to go for it. The Colts will have a 21 point lead by then.

I'm not being flippant or anything, but seriously, I think that poor fellow is borderline mentally disabled.

    Bingo...dude's got issues.

When everything is going to **** you need a calm hand at the helm. He is anything but.

He is one level over his head...emotion is OK for a coordinator...embarassing in a head coach.

What about his actions to have ex-Pats suddenly as their captains only for the Pats game? It was a cheap, feeble and immature attempt that made some like me to dislike, not hate, him.

That said, his defense is excellent and I respect that.

With Leon and Jenks coming back, the #1 Defense and #1 Running game, (Thomas Jones averages 4.26435 per carry) a potential franchize QB who will be "that much better", a #1 WR like Braylon Edwards, the best shutdown corner in the game who is named Revis, not to mention a 2nd year HC who players love to play for, I for one am very excited for '10. It's obvious to those who know football that the Jets are on the way up.

His four attempts to lure NE Practice Squad players were all failures. :)

What Rex should have said is:

"I don't trust Mark Sanchez on first and ten. Why in the hell would I trust putting the entire game in his hands and hope he comes up big in a key situation?"

That is what he really meant.
