Supposed to start at 9 but nothing yet.

Patriots.com will have it.

Burgess is the likely guess.

Or maybe he'll 'graduate'? :)

Patten?

He's the only likely retiree I can see them holding a PC for. Would they do it for Burgess or Holt?

why can't he tell us before free agency started so that the pats could have made backup plans? So that means cunningham or woods get to start. we are so thin at OLB it's not even funny...I say we give Mckenzie a shot at OLB as well.

Could it be Fred Taylor?

I wouldn't be surprised to see the Pats looking for another trade partner. And Mankins or Kaczur could be the bait they use to get one.

Lamar woodley!!!!!!

My money is on Brady. He is so dismayed that he is just going to call it quits.

What did Burgess cost us last year? A 3rd round pick? Or was it a 3rd and a 5th?

Helluva a high price for one year of mediocre play. :(

Neal, Faulk or Patten.

One of them.

If it's Neal, the OL is screwed big time.

If it's Faulk, Brady is going to be battered this year on 3rd down.

The way Faulk has practiced, by all accounts with a lot of passion and energy, he doesn't sound like a guy who is retiring.

I bet it's either Brady or Belichick.

Hooplah of any sort over Burgess seems weird.

Patten could be it, but he sounds like he's having a good camp.
Faulk, same plus that would SUCK.
Neal? Not impossible, but who knows.

Maybe Mankins is going into UFC?

Tough to guess. They MIGHT do it for Holt if he decided to can t since yesterday, just because he's had glory years, but how do you retire a Patriot without ever really being one?

What about Ty Warren?

I know he's not that old to retire, but he has had injuries the last 3 years.

He went back to school for the off-season.

Maybe hitting at Camp isn't his thing anymore.

I'll give odds of 100/1 on it being Ty, but it's another player Bill would do it for.

Of the likely candidates (Holt, Patten, Neal) Neal is the one whose career and post-season comments makes this type of announcement most likely. ANd most damaging to the team. Fingers crossed that it's one of those receivers. Sammy Morris?

Fred Taylor or Holt are the only outside guys Bill would do it for.

Patten and Neal are the likely guys.

Faulk is an outside bet. Same with Warren.

Matt (or Todd) Light has been suggested by a few people elsewhere as well

Could someone like Ty Law sign a 1 day deal and retire as a Patriot?

Crable must be doing a sign and retire.
