For the people criticizing him for wanting to take his time let me ask you do you want him I'm September or January?
It's that simple a fully healthy Gronkowski makes this a different team and much harder to defend.
I don't mind him wanting to make sure he is at his full strength before he steps a foot on the practice field he doesn't need the reps Brady knows and trusts him.
Add a Ebron or a ASJ or a Lyera a talented compliment at tight end and Gronk is in full beast mode.
Release the Gronk!
Report: Rob Gronkowski To Take His Time Rehabbing Torn ACL For Patriots | NESN.com
I could see the forearm issue last year because I didn't want the team to rush him back, given the complications. But this is a different issue and plenty of football players at skill positions are back for Week 1 after suffering a torn ACL. Barring a setback (doesn't sound like there is one, by all reports Gronk is on schedule), I don't see any reason why he wouldn't be out there Week 1.
I don't disagree with Gronk taking his time to come back from this in the post season. It's the part where it's inferred that he'll miss time going into the regular season that surprises me. Personally, I hope he remains on schedule, which is what has been reported, does not play a snap in the preseason and continues to rehab it.NESN is using far too much Bleacher Report information lately. Gronkowski is fine, he protein loading as we speak, I fully expect him to be a go in week 1 of the regular season. If anything the injury has likely taught him that, it does not matter if you come back early or take your time the risk for injury is still great in the NFL so you play when you can.
That's the thing, as RayClay alluded to. This statement has only been inferred, and not directly from him. Unless it comes from our steak eating horse's mouth, I'll take it with a grain. I don't believe he wants to watch any game from the sideline anymore than we want him to.I don't disagree with Gronk taking his time to come back from this in the post season. Take it, shine it up reeeeeaaaaaallllll nice, turn that som***** sideways... AND STICK IT STRAIGHT UP YOUR CANDY ASS!Oooh, we have a dislike button now. I'm going to polish that baby up so it will be ready.
What time table are you talking about? We didn't get one last year, just reports (rumors) about who was telling Gronk what and how long he should stay out. Clearly people already have an idea of when they expect him to be back on the field based on when he had his surgery and the performance and recovery time other players in the NFL had with similar injuries.LOL there is a 'dumb' button too. Got to agree with supafly, until we see an actual timetable it's tough to get upset by this.
