just a reminder to check out PBS tonite, heard some of info it will go into.. interesting to hear how Rummy and Cheney, kept Powell out of the loop and completely avoided Condaleeza also how Powell was essentially forced out.. should be interesting as there were over 400 interviews compiled for this two part show.. sure a lot will squeal bias.. but it is what it is..

My first thought is, if Cheney is not VP, we are not at war in Iraq. Now, isn't that saying something about the power of the Vice President's position. This VP ignored every agency's position from CIA to State, because this one individual knew better, or because of his agenda. Decades from now, when more information ultimately comes out, he will become one of the darkest blemish in American history. The second thought, the United States was never supposed to be governed by a handful of people who circumvented all agencies, rules, and branches elected by the people or appointed by the guidelines in our system.

Frontline, along with Independent Lens, are reasons why PBS deserves the support of people who care about fairness and accuracy in reporting. This documentary is definitely worth 4.5 hours of every American's life.

/It's full of plotlines involving analysts, staffers, and cabinet members, but Bush is nearly absent, just sign the papers and give the speeches.

IMO, it says more about the guy occupying the big chair, or not occupying it, if you want to think figuratively.

As to the show itself, my opinion of a few Bushies has gone up. Armitage, for example could have done much more good for the nation in a better environment.

Armitage is the sniveling coward weasel who revealed Plame to Novak and then hid while lives were being destroyed.

Any documentary that portrays him in a positive light is flawed from the beginning.

    IMO, of course.

Who are you and what have you done with NEM?

    :D:D

Although I'll say--I'd watch more PBS if they didn't approach everything from a left wing starting point. I don't want to argue this point--it's what I believe, and I'm sure it's not what you believe, and we're never going to change either's mind.

Saw it. Great show. I've always said Frontline was the best show on TV (edging out Family Guy).

True Armitage was a POS for outing Plame, but his insights to the post 9/11 events are fascinating as hell. I also thought it was hilarious how CIA had a plan already drawn up for Afghanistan but the Army had NOTHING! Not a single contingency. The friggin CIA was alone for 30 days waiting for Special Forces to finaly get off their arses. HA...they must still be getting mileage out of that one. What a doughy fat POS that guy Black was.

More than anything, I came away with an enhanced sense of what I knew to be true...Bush is not the POTUS and Rice and Powell are tokens in the White House.

Wilson outed Plame. But don't that fact get in the way of your fictional movie.

A 2.5 hours show and you want to hang on to this right wing myth.. no sense of answering as this thread will just get hijacked. So I take it you did not watch it..

I tivo'd it, watch enough to know it was a left wing propaganda piece, and than deleted it.

I didn't bring up Sid and Ethel, just responded to a post made about them.

classic...you deleted it because you saw it as 'propaganda'...

just wondering if you can also spot Right Wing Propaganda when you see it? Or do you accept it as a slam dunk? Because, despite what you are saying about the frontline piece...most of it is about how RIGHT WING propaganda got us in this clustefukc in the first place.

So it was right wing propaganda that led Bill Clinton to the same conclusions as GWB?

    I mean really--fair's fair.
