Yes our defensive staff, all of it are bad, but someone needs to explain why he keeps gettting penalites to hurt the team.
At some point it becomes his falt. No matter what team he plays on. Thats 17 1st downs. But our idiot defence signed up for it.
and yes he did. Browner was in a position to stop the run, but decided to take out a lineman. Bad defensive thinking. But 39 did the same thing, and 71 was holding.
Did Brandon Browner forgo tackle to take cheap shot at Redskins lineman?
It is his fault, and the penalties can cost games. He commits them because his technique isn't that great and he's kinda slow. Then again, you can't coach 6'4".
The benefit to Browner, as we found, was in the playoffs, when referees are far more likely to keep their flags in their pockets.
As for me, I've got no interest in bringing Browner in for any sort of big money. He's an extreme specialist at this point. Cover tall guys who aren't especially fast, preferably in the playoffs where he won't kill you as much with penalties. That he can still do, I think.
(As far as that video, Browner was really nowhere near that tackle. Even if he had dove he would have come up way, way short)
