For those that thought Weis was not a great fit in the NFL, and was suited only to the college ranks: Apparently some NFL teams wholeheartedly disagree.
Per Reiss:
"October 19, 2006
Weis & NFL
Former Patriots offensive coordinator Charlie Weis received inquiries from NFL teams during Notre Dame's bye week, but said he plans to stay at Notre Dame, according to a piece in Thursday's Chicago Sun-Times. Weis recently signed a 10-year extension at Notre Dame."

Just thought it was an interesting development in the Weis story. I, for one, always found it curious that Crennel was courted heavily by at least one NFL team and Weis ended up in the College ranks. I guess his alma mater just means that much to him.
